The book is a quick read yet full of information, helpful hints and work pages. There is nothing unrealistic about the contents and suggestions made by the authors. Every parent going through divorce needs to "preserve the innocence of their children" and this book will help and show you how you can work towards that.
If only this book was around 5 years ago!
The Intelligent Divorce has the perfect blend of useful information and sound advice, while often teaching by example and through practical comparisons. Most would agree that sometimes it is necessary to become familiar with, or at least recognize, ineffective ways of doing things in order to improve. The same is often true when trying to become a more effective co-parent and communicator. This book paves the way and demonstrates exactly how to do that while truly keeping the child's best interests first and foremost, always. Dr. Banschick recognizes that this stuff isn't easy, but he shows you how to be "on top of your game" even under the most difficult of circumstances. The subtitle says it all, "Because Your Kids Come First."
If this book is the first of Dr. Banschick's new series, I strongly suggest that after you read this one that you pre-order the next book ASAP !
I wish Dr. Banschick had been arount seventy years ago when my parnts divorced.
