I recently replaced all my old food storage containers with ones from the Rubbermaid Premier line. The lids are all square, and lock together, which is nice, but keeping them with the actual containers themselves is a losing battle, and makes everything too tall and tippy to be manageable if you have a lot of them.
I took a chance on this item, even though I was skeptical about a container for the lids of other containers. I mean, what's next? Lids for the lid containers? ;-)
Luckily, it worked out extremely well. The lids fit very well, it keeps them all together, and allows me to slide it out from the back of the cabinet to grab the correct size lid for the container I'm using. It also lays most of them on their sides, which keeps it from getting too tall.
I should note that the lids on the Rubbermaid line are the ones shown in the product description, so it isn't a huge surprise that they fit this unit perfectly. I see some of the other reviews mentioning other brands, like Tupperware. Those might work, depending on their size and shape, but even if you can fit them in there, they likely won't fit as neatly as the Rubbermaid ones, which are designed to link together. I strongly suspect that's what happened in some of the negative reviews.
Recommended, if you have the right size and shape of lids for this to work well.

Holds them all, so easy to find what I need

When I took this out of the box, I was surprised by how small it looked, but darned if it didn't hold every single one of my lids. I was so tired of sifting through the zipper bags I had them in, and now I can see them all, sorted by shape and size. It's designed to hold a lot without a huge footprint. I really love it!
