DO NOT PUT A LOT OF WATER IN THE SUCTION CUP AREA WHEN YOU STICK IT TO THE TILES OR GLASS. place a drop of water in the cup and swish it around to cover the cup. the cup should NOT be wringing wet. then push the cup onto the tiles and press hard while pushing down the bar to lock in place. i think people were putting too much water in the suction cup and that's why it wasn't sticking and was sliding down. i ordered two of these...and both work great!!! my tiles are not shiny...they are matte finished...and the bar worked fine.
the only negative i have is that the bar could be a little wider. a washcloth does NOT fit across the bar...it has to be folded in half...which doesn't allow it to dry thoroughly between use. i found, however, that if i wring the cloth out and then just put one corner over the bar...the washcloth dries fine.
If you are having trouble getting the towel rack to stick, make sure when you are attaching it to your flat surface to push on the center of the suction cup and not on the plastic piece around the suction cup (I uploaded a photo, to show what I mean).
The only dislike I have with this product is that it's a bit small. It is only big enough for a hand towel and even then, I have to fold the towel into thirds. But really, it's not a big deal because holding a hand towel is what I bought it for and it does that!

Exactly what I wanted, was unable to get it anywhere locally so this item is great. Possibly slightly pricey taking the postage into account but I think it is worth it. Read morePublished 19 days ago by Max
These work very well in our mirrored medicine cabinet. The lever-action suction cup design provides ample hold. Beats a cup holder, and allows fast drying. Recommended!Published 19 days ago by Christopher Anderson
