I bought this to process tomatoes into tomato sauce. This is my 2nd season using it. I don’t use it for anything else. There is/was a nylon washer at the bottom of the spring loaded lever. This year the nylon washer broke. Now there is a larger gap between the lever and the screens and the lever doesn’t push the food through the screen as effectively.

I got this last summer thinking I can make tomato sauce. It "worked" to get some juice and pulp but the grinder did not press all the good stuff out. If you are considering this for tomatoes, I would suggest investing in tomato press for sauces, a little more expensive but you're only left with seed and skin.
