Grandson wanted to play and had some experience at school so he brought out this quick chess version
which of course can also be played normally but thats not the point.
Neither is the fact that I could not beat the youngster.
Quick chess teaches you the movement of pieces involved on a fewer squared board.
Although the featured game appears to me to lead to the same victor based on who moves first,
the other suggested games included provide more challenges and ideas for even more game choices.
So when I got home from vacation I bought one for myself to work with and one for the neighbors kid
who has helped teach his siblings chesss and now we spend summer afternoons under the shade trees
battling out modified quick chess games and full blown chess matches.
Now I occasionally win.
