The title should have been "Affiliate Marketing From The Real Experts".
The book is an easy read, as most of the articles are pretty short in nature, covering a wide variety of topics...but none in depth. If you're getting started in affiliate marketing, this might be a good "primer" of sorts...but as a resource you'll constantly refer to, in my opinion this book gets low marks.
No matter what area of online marketing you are interested in, you'll find relevant articles that will help you to succeed.
The only thing that might make it better is if I were included in the book. (maybe next time) :)
Missy & Shawn have a vested interest in your success as an affiliate marketer. Why? Because they run the Affiliate Summit conferences. As such they've seemingly taken on the mantle of all things affiliate on their shoulders. If you succeed, you're likely to go to the summit.
Running the summit has also provided Missy & Shawn with an opportunity to befriend innovative super affiliates, many of which they feature in the book.
Now, don't expect to gain some super secret tip by reading the book. That isn't going to happen. This book is more about giving you ideas. It's about getting a feel for how the industry leaders think. It's also about blocking & tackling basics that you have to nail if you're going to win.
I had to throw in that football analogy. If you read Shawn's blog, you know he's a big J-E-T-S fan. They're going to lose to the Colts this weekend and you're gonna feel like you got punched in the stomach Shawn. LOL.
Back to the review. Get the book. Read it. It's worth it.
The best part of this text is that it can be digested in tiny bites. Every lesson in each of the 11 chapters is no more than two pages long. This is a book you can pick up and work on as time allows. Each of the people represented (and, surprisingly, I know a third of them personally) is talented and well respected in several aspects of affiliate marketing. They willingly share "tips of the trade" that help make them each successful in their own right. You will learn a lot - from people who can teach you a lot.
No fluff, no bull; just the facts, as the title states, "from the Real Experts." Overall, an excellent read!
