I appreciate Seidman's conversational tone, candor, and wisdom gained from years as a researcher.
What frustrates me a bit about the book is its title. Nowhere on the front cover is "in-depth" or "phenomenological" interviewing mentioned; however, that specific methodology is the clear focus of this text. At the same time, as Seidman points out, nearly all of the principles discussed in this book are relevant to the broader method of interviewing.
Overall, a useful and comprehensive introduction to interviewing.
