First off let me say... I LOVE THIS TUBE!!! I've had this tube about a month and have taken it tubing on the Comal River twice, and out on several lakes in north Texas. It's very roomy, lightweight and durable. It withstood an entire day of tubing in scorching, 95+ degree Texas heat. Since it's white, it doesn't absorb as much heat as your standard black, rental tubes (so no arm rash or burns).

Secondly, this tube is tough...it took the bumps and bruises (and tube chutes) along the way with no problem and no leaks. But I have to say the cooler is what sets this tube apart from the rest. Some folks use it for storage, we used it for "tasty beverages". It can hold 12-pk of canned drinks plus ice, it also has a drain plug in the bottom.

The tube inflates very easily (the back rests and cooler lid are pinch valves, while the main chamber has a boston valve). Also, the mesh bottom is a life saver. It keeps you from falling through the center of this tube and allows you to dip into the water enough to keep you cool. To give you a better idea of how roomy this tube is...I'm 5'7" and can easily and comfortably sit Indian style plus I can extend my arm fully and still not touch the person next to me!

We were asked repeatedly "where did you get your tube?"
Trust me...you want this tube...it's definately a great investment for all river (and lake) rats!
Float on my friends!

This was awesome! I bought it for the river, and thought you could maybe 2 or 3 beers in it. I was wrong! You can put an entire case in. It's huge! The only down side is you're really far out of the water- and it's hard to get back in if you are in deepish water (Especially if the water is moving) But all in all, really durable, and really fun. We had 9 people there, and everyone wanted to be in the tube. We're going to have to get another one!

THIS IS RECALLED- Dicks Sporting and BJ's have both announced recall (BJ's stated Intex Recreation Corp announces recall of River Run II Pool Float

BJ’s Wholesale Club has been informed by Intex Recreation Corp of a defect with the 2014 River Run II pool float, sold by BJ’s and other national retailers. Intex has advised us that due to a change in the graphics, the seam on one of the five inflatable chambers may separate when exposed to extreme heat (greater than102 degrees Fahrenheit) causing this chamber to deflate.)

Ours busted at the seam and it wasn't due to floating the river, it got hot and the seam peeled apart...

It is so dangerous to put a product still out there that is recalled.... if we had realized this we would not have taken it... knowing that I would be getting my $$ back from amazon only if I had the raft we didn't ditch it and now I wish we had... this turned into an anchor full of water when someone in out group got caught on a stump and the rope that was connected to me to this busted float caught on top of them cutting into them until we could ease the tension and unclip.... it's one thing to have a pop due to a puncture and deal with the consiquence but when it's due to a recall that amazon has not announced.... that is just plan unsafe.

DEFECTIVE - THERE IS A RECALL ON THESE - SEAMS SPLIT

I bought this double tube to float down a local river with friends and family. It was a four hour float... another couple had one just like ours but it was a year older. They told us that there was a recall on the one we had because of seams splitting (this was while we were already an hour into the float). We stopped for a bite to eat and while standing there (no one in the tube) I heard a gush of air and looked down to see our seam had indeed split! We tried to patch it to no avail, We were stuck, literally, in the middle of nowhere. Our only option was to borrow a friends phone and try to figure out where we were. We had to walk at least two miles through cows and sheep, jumped fences.... all while dragging this tube behind us with all our stuff in it. It was horrible! Took what was supposed to be an awesome 4th of July float and turned it into an awful experience. My question is "Why on earth did you sell me a recalled defective item?"

Really Really Really disappointed! Both of my grown children have the River run II. However, it is the All white and blue version. They purchased around a year ago. I received the newer gray/white blue (pictured) version for a rafting outing with family. Three days after receiving it, I took it to the river. I used a Coleman 12v air mattress air pump to inflate the raft. I also inflated 2 other River run II rafts. All of them inflated to the same capacity.

Less than 20 minutes later, my raft was in a flaccid pile of useless PVC on the ground. We hadn't even made it to the water. The seam in the front had separated and left an 18 inch wide hole. There were no rips or sign of distress, the seam simply did not hold. And not even a small section. No one sat on or put any pressure on the raft prior to inflation.

This is just really really bad manufacturing. I saw other people at the with River Run rafts. Many of the single versions. BUT they were the type with the all white top with blue letters. NO gray on the raft. Mine was the only worthless pile of crap on the ground.

I am not upset that I bought it and now have to ship it back. I am not upset that I received a defective unit. These things happen. I am EXTREMELY upset that we could not participate in the raft event with my kids and friends. Everyone standing around looking at us saying we're sorry... I simply told everyone else to go ahead and have a great day. I actually would like the folks at INTEX to apologize to me. Because this seems to be a VERY common failure with this version of the River Run II.

I am not saying this is crap and don't buy. I know of others who have the River Run II and they work great. I will say to stay away from the White&Gray versions.
