I first bought the battier operated one because of the 4 star reviews. It wasn't very bright and I didn't want to have to get it out of the pool every time I wanted to turn it on or off. So I looked around for solar ones and found these. I wasn't sure about buying them because of the 2 star reviews but so glad I took a chance. I bought 3 of them because I was sure they wouldn't be very bright but I could of just got 2. I have a 15x30 in-ground and they light up the whole pool. I would say the only negative so far is that with a full day of sun they only stay on about 2 to 3 hours.

I ordered one of these because our pool lights are out and I needed a quick inexpensive solution. The light was very dim and went out after an hour. So, I ordered 2 more to see if it was just defective or a bad product. The other two work beautifully and I will replace the third. Lights up entire pool, 8 feet deep and at least 40 ft long! Can’t wait to see what it looks like with 3 lights. Perfect for us as we just moved in and cannot afford $1100 to replace lights at this time. We are very happy with these lights and they stay on for about 3 hours.

My stepson regularly flips them upside down and completely submerged them. They have not reacted negatively to this.
Now I will say, they DO NOT stay lit if it is not pretty dark out. If you turn it on and it goes off after maybe 30 seconds, it isn’t dark enough! Don’t send them back as faulty. To test this, cover the solar panel with a towel or your hand or something and see if it stays on.

Love these lights! I bought 3 of them for a 20 foot above ground pool. The clear option is very bright and we can see the entire pool, and it’s also lit in a cool way on the outside. (1) I bought my last INTEX floating pool light about 10 years ago. Although it only worked for two seasons, It was big, bright, and solid. This one is none of the above, and it costs more than double what I paid for the first one. I would need 3 of these to light my pool the same way the old INTEX light used to.Reviewed in Canada on September 4, 2019
(2) After one week the light would randomly shut off, sometimes less than a minute after being on.
(3) Because of its small size, it would float into the skimmer within an hour no matter where in the pool it was placed. My yard borders on a forested green-belt, so turning off the pump at night is not really an option. The result: Bright skimmer, dark pool.
(4) The INTEX distributor would only refund the purchase price minus restocking and shipping fees. This added up to about a third of the original price. As an alternative they offered to refund about 1/3 of what I paid for it. I chose this option.
Conclusion: This item is way over-priced for what you get in terms of quality and light output. This is not an INTEX product as I knew them in years past. Don't waste your money on this light.
