Updated on Wednesday the 10th of April; In response to anyone who may think that the pump was not charged properly before my first attempt, I attempted to use this pump a second and third time, each time, leaving the unit to charge overnight and I got the exact same results each time. It inflated 1 Intex Stargaze Tube and while attemtping to deflate said tube, the motor died shortly after and the tube had to be manually deflated. So I have two options. Either I throw this pump into the trash where it belongs or I keep it to use as a paperweight.
The K1 has two ports for inflating, one on the base of the kayak, the other on its hood. The pump quickly inflated both sections in just about 4 minutes, but not to a usable amount. After inflating the kayak I thought it felt a bit soft, but I took it down to the lake anyway, I was right, just a few feet from the shore and the kayak was ready to tip over. I brought it back to land and used the hose from the manual pump, and my lungs, to bring it up to full inflation (only took a couple puffs each). Back on the lake and everything was perfect.
So, bottom line - was it/is it worth it? Yes. Even though I have to blow into the kayak a little to fully inflate it, it's still much better than manually pumping it all the way.
Now, on the other side, it deflates the seat and foot rest fine, but will not deflate the kayak at all. Reason being, to deflate the kayak you have to remove the inflation valve, once that is done the new opening is too large for any of the provided fittings, that disappointing. While deflating is not a big job, it is time consuming to get it fully deflated and ready to go back into its bag.
Since I've only used it once I cannot give it a durability rating, which is why I picked a neutral rating.
We chose this model for camping because we thought it would be more powerful/reliable than a battery operated one. It turned out to be really inconvenient because we had to drive the car up beside the tent to fill the mattress (which only fits through the tent door when it's empty) I imagine a lot of people purchase a pump for similar purposes, so it's worth noting that it's REALLY annoying to fill a mattress this way when the cord barely reaches to either side of the car. If you have a large or tall truck it probably will not even reach all the way outside the vehicle.
It also fills things up really slowly. Our friends had battery and rechargeable models from Intex as well, and each other pump was faster than this one! We used it on both the mattress and water toys, and it took forever compared to the other pumps. Which is a big problem when your car is running and wasting gas the whole time you are using it, and you are squatting right next to the exhaust to use it.
It gets two stars since it did actually work as an air pump and didn't break immediately or anything, but I would recommend buying basically any other model of intex pump over this one, at least for most situations.
Works best with inflatable toys and furniture. When I tried it with a 36 In. Balloon, it fully inflated in like a minute and popped! Whoops! That was really noisy...
Speaking of noise, this inflator's about as loud as a vacuum. Don't expect to use it quietly if you can't be bothered with inflating a toy with a good ol' fashioned pump. It's so small and convenient though!
Overall, I'd say it's great.

The unit itself seems as good, if not better than others we own. While our other units are battery and 12V, this 120 VAC one will get the most use around the house. Will update after attempting to inflate a couple dozen or so birthday balloons! Fits Boston style Coleman mattress valves
Was somewhat surprised that it does not have sufficient pressure to inflate a regular party balloon, however.
Highly recommended and great value.
The suction end did a perfect job of flattening our items back out so well that i was able to fit them back into their original boxes.... something that doesnt happen very often .. LOL :)
