A very good book for anyone looking to move forward with awareness in relationship. Filled with lists of questions for you (and ideally your partner) to do. It covers basic psychology, biology, and spirituality of intimate relationships and how unexamined and unrealistic expectations will cause couples to separate.
Very worthwhile.

I enjoyed reading this book and am going to go back through and do the exercises to the extent possible. I recommend this book to any person who is seeking and who is aware that identity is beyond the conditioned self with its thoughts, beliefs, emotions, memories, associations and perceptions, i.e., the False Self, AND who desires a mature relationship. Couples working together through the pages of this book is enough to bring awakening.

The heart of issue, as always, is a misunderstanding about identity. According to Wolinsky, the problem of intimacy reveals the issues of separation and merger. This, he says, also has to do with the Quantum Psychology idea of the "false core-false self."

I found this book to be very helpful to me. It explains clearly the problems facing intimate relationships and tackles the dimensions which allow them to be successful. It is not a very long book, which is actually a good thing in this case, as it has only the most important information and doesn't leave the reader feeling confused.

This book is primarily meant for people who are in a co-dependent relationship, who are struggling in their relationship, or have problems they want solved. But it also functions as a good book for people who would like to start a new relationship and start off on the right foot. The book is literally what it says "Why they do and do not work" and does very well to clearly explain that.

I recommend it to anyone interested in the relationship process, and how to untangle themselves from a bad relationship, or avoid a bad relationship in the future.

Obviously we all have this hunger and thirst to find relationships...specially intimate relationships, and most of the time it becomes very clear that what you are seeking/searching for..if we find it....never fulfill our needs... and the seeking just continues..
this book tackles this problem...but not like most of relationships books, by providing new ways or strategies in order to have better relationships....but by investigating these needs....back the origin....to the moment of birth...the very first sight....at that moment something seriously wrong happened in our psych.....which results all of these struggle, suffering, pain, anxieties and turmoils we live with now....
and the only way for salvation...is to have the courage to look back and find out what happened...

Cuts through all the games/spirituality/psycho babble/drama and goes right to the core of the difficulties in relationship and intimacy. Worth the effort to find the understanding of what drives each of us, the fundamental false belief that we try to avoid through relationship, which it can never do because the belief is in us not the relationship, and eventually leads to blame, bitterness and resentment in relationship.
