This book was an emotional book, with a loss of a friend and mentor, to find what home really is. James is playing 2 sides one the son of a compass boy and a fire jumper, when he meets Ivy and takes to her like glue. But Ivy doesn’t date fire jumpers she has her own loss to contend with, when James needs her the most she steps up. And finding that home is where the heart is at.
A true love story, with a few laughs and tears. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Recommend you read the whole series from Northern Exsposure to still water which will be out soon.
Authors did a great job of overcoming the obstacles for James & Ivy's HEA.
Part of this story runs in parallel with Compass Boys Book 1 - so we get to seem more of Jake.
The story moved at a good pace. James and Ivy are great together. I loved going back to the ranch, though I wished it was for better circumstances. And Doug was adorable. I can't wait for his book.
