Into My Arms has an edgy content feel to it and is written in the same tradition as authors like Catherine Ryan Hyde, Jodi Picoult, Caroline Overington, Nicole Trope and Ilsa Bick.
Into My Arms is a story that will have your moral compass ticking as you read through the story.
She has an extraordinary gift in making her characters so life like you feel as though you are actually sneaking a peek into their real lives.
I read Into My Arms in just over a day - I was completely absorbed by the unique plot, and surprised by a the twists and turns the story took along the way.
Kylie Ladd has such a talent for going where others dare not go, and this makes her books compelling reading.
I'm going to suggest this book to my book club. I can only imagine the intense discussion we'll have over a few glasses of wine!
Disappointing read from a writer who usually does much better. Mind you I seem to be in the minority here as other reviewers have loved it. I was invested enough to bother finishing it, hence two stars but I wish I hadn't purchased this.
I found this book hard to put down, and was constantly thinking about it when I wasn't reading. It is sure to spark plenty of debate and discussions amongst readers. If you like Jodi Picoult or Caroline Overington you will love this - highly recommended.
I loved the structure of this book, the dramatic partings and reunions, the time which passes in between. I read it too fast because I couldn't wait to find out how it would end. Now I wish I hadn't, because it will be far too long before I get to immerse myself in the next one.
