This book is summarized as Episode 5 because it begins with chapter twenty-one where Episode 4 concluded, and ends on chapter five. Prentiss and Dee have managed to escape with Jackson with Gallatin's assistance. As they make it back to the camp where all of the humans have been hiding out, she realizes that she may have just lost the best thing that has ever happened to her. She also realizes how much she matured while on the farm as she sees teenaged boys masked with blood running around like scavengers with no order or structure. Her only thoughts drift back to Gallatin when she sees that Jackson has being hiding things from her about their relationship that was supposed to be an unbreakable bond. She has to make a choice before it is too late but which one will it be?

As I read this episode, my stomach was clenched during the whole unfolding of Jackson's camp scene and his disloyalty to her. She has been so strong throughout other episodes and her desire to see her dreams play out before her made me long for her to go back to Gallatin. The author has a wonderful way of showing her readers how clear Prentiss's judgement has become. She realizes that she has been living in a false dream and feels like she has only just woken from that deep slumber to see a different perspective on the things that have happened in her life.

I recommend this book to women primarily due to this story being told from Prentiss's point of view. She leads the reader into feeling mixed emotions including confusion, love, loss, pain, and anger. I give this story five stars like the rest of the episodes before this because again, the story is reaching it's climax and I am excited to read the conclusion in If I Fly Book 6.

My eyes fluttered shut as his lips found mine, and a pulse of joy rushed from the center of my body through my arms, to my fingertips, down my legs. His arms tightened around me and my mouth opened, deepening our kiss. He tasted sweet like the spring water, then salty like my tears. He pulled back and kissed them away again before holding me tightly in his arms.

This series is almost over and this installment does not disappoint. Prentiss has finally escaped and is with Jackson. But now that she is free to help her friends and family escape, there is more that meets the eye when it comes to Jackson and him helping her. In such a short time, she doesn't feel like the same naive and weak girl anymore. She has grown to be a strong and smart young woman, who doesn't need Jackson to rescue her anymore. He doesn't seem to want to see or believe the person right in front of him. He wants Prentiss to be the same girl she was before. With Prentiss being free, she is trying to adjust to all the changes in her life, and see where her future lies. The more she is back with Jackson, secrets are finally coming to the surface that break Prentiss's heart and make you want to smack Jackson. I really loved him and i was rooting for them. But after what he has done to her in the recent past and the way he treats her, i don't think he can redeem himself. He broke her heart and then some. While she is trying to put herself back together, she learns that Jackson and his band of rebels have other plans in mind. They are not planning a rescue, they are planning a massacre. Prentiss realizes that not only does she have to save her friends and family but she needs to warn Gallatin and his people about whats to come. But to do that, that means leaving behind the only future she has ever known.

MY REVIEW (5/5 stars) WOW! This author doesn't hold back with any punches as she keeps us enthralled and glued to the book wanting more...... This section was shorter as only 42 pages for chapters 21 - 25, however, the details were explosive! Spoilers are listed at a minimum for review purposes only- so do not read if you don't want to know.

Prentiss, D'Lo, and Jackson have escaped captivity from the camp, with the help of Gallatin. Prentiss leads them away towards safety where they can hideout but it is a tough run, especially for her with her previous injury.

Prentiss and Jackson have changed over the short time they have been apart. Or did they really changed? Prentiss did but I wonder if Jackson really ever did???

Prentiss keeps worrying about the rest of her friends at the camp as Jackson and his friends are planning an attack to harm/ kill anyone in the way. Will her friends be okay as Gallatin stated and will Gallatin be ok? Prentiss realizes that not only does she have to save her friends and family but she needs to warn Gallatin and his people about whats to come and not let Jackson know.

How can she help- the only way is to go back and she volunteers to scout back. She has been the one to motivate, to be strong, to rally - will this continue now that Jackson has taken charge? Prentiss has been changing and growing more mature. It will be interesting to see the finale!
