I see a lot of these power banks and most of the time they are plastic bricks I could build a fort with. Now that the thought has occured to me, after I'm done writing this, I might try building a fort with power banks.

The point is, this is one of the rare ones that is made out of metal on the exterior (for the most part). Sure the ends are plastic but the body is a pleasing, sleek, easy-to-slip-into-a-bag brushed metal (hopefully one of the photo I've uploaded shows that). It's also unique in the sense that this unit has the most comprehensive status display I've seen to date. It has a power meter in percent, indicators for when it's charging and when each port is discharging. I've not yet received another unit that does that, most of them are 4 lights to give you a rough idea only.

For travelers, I went ahead and weighed the battery as being 321.1g, and then the battery with the accessories you'd take with you at 346.8g (in the packaging there was also a manual and a warranty card, but I don't think you'd take those with you). You might want to add a charger to this but that's outside of scope for now. This battery would fill a normal jeans pocket, perhaps with room for keys but not a phone. It wouldn't be an issue for a bag of course, it's not that big.

I tested with my Galaxy S3 (shown) and a few other devices, all charged just fine and received the amperage they could accept from the appropriate 2.1a or 1.0a ports. A 2000mah smartphone battery could be recharged 7.5 times from this in theory, but in reality, if your smartphone is on, it will use power to run itself as it charges (so don't knock the power bank for that). None the less you will get through that international flight, or that day out away from power, with plenty to spare.

I recently received another unit and cosmetically, it is better than my first unit. All the metallic edges sit flush within the plastic end-caps.
Other than the cosmetic improvements, its functionality remains reliably the same as my initial unit.
Holding this battery in your hand, one has a sense that the quality of its construction is far better than its plastic/rubber brethren. Shaking the battery, you won't have any rattling sounds or any falling pieces.
If you want a battery that is a work of art and has a very high charge capacity, this is the battery for you!

This power-bank is the successor to the Intocircuit 11,200mAh edition. There are some improvements to this newer model, however there are crucial features that were omitted from the previous model.

Pros:
Larger power capacity. (Steadily outputs 4.93V, 493mAh: on the 1A USB port)
As usual, very easy to use. (Just plug in your USB devices and it automatically charges it)
The LED back-light is slightly dim. (You'll retain a longer battery capacity.)
Thick carrying pouch.
A concise 4 page manual.
The text of the battery specifications are much larger and clearer to see.
1 Year Warranty

Cons:
This unit cannot charge USB devices while its being charged itself.
You cannot manually turn off the device using the button. (Everything is automatic)
The metallic edges of this particular unit does not sit flush with the plastic end-caps. (Maybe its just my unit?)
The LED flash-light is dimmer than the previous model.

This battery pack isn't perfect but it does function as advertised. For someone who is looking for a very high capacity power bank, this unit may be for you.

Overall, this is a great portable charger. What surprised me the most when I opened the package was how much this charger weighs. This was an indication to me that it had a very large battery in it. The charger had 73% charge when I received it. I followed the instructions and charged it using a 1.5 amp output charger (not included) that I had for my phone. It took 2 hours and 55 minutes to get it to full charge. This was my second indication that this charger had a large capacity internal battery.
The phone that I have is an HTC One M8, and this is the phone that I charged using the Power Castle. I was able to charge my phone from 44%, 15%, 56%, 51% and 31% before charging the Power Castle again. After the 5th charge to my phone, the Power Castle still had 12% charge showing on the LCD indicator, but I didn't think that would be enough to charge my phone one more time. I charged the Power Castle overnight to get it charged back up so I don't know exactly how long it took, but it was at 100% in the morning. Also, I have not used the charger in about a week, but it still shows to be at 100% so the charger does not seem to lose charge over time. I am sure that over extended periods it will lose some charge, but probably not a significant amount.
I really like the appearance and the feel of the charger. It is a gray brushed aluminum that really looks nice. The LCD display is extremely nice so that you know exactly how much "life" the charger has left. The LCD has a blue back light that stays on for about 20 seconds when it first turned on or a device plugged into it. The LCD display stays on the entire time the charger is charging a device, but the back light is off. Having a 2.
