5.0 out of 5 stars Can be used like a "go pro" if you have the accessories
By Ladyl on January 27, 2018
For the price this is a little gem of a camera. Can be used like a "go pro" if you have the accessories. Loved that it floats as I was worried about dropping it in the ocean! But the adjustable wrist cord can be as loose or tight on your wrist as you need it. There are two buttons on top, one for power and the other for picture. After I jumped in the water to snorkel I turned on the camera. I don't remember it timing out on me, so I don't know if it would if you accidentally left it on, but for snorkeling I liked that it was "ready" to go for the shot! You can shoot video with this, but you would have to take it out of its protective case to switch to video mode, and vice versa to switch back to camera. We made sure it was just on camera mode. We were going on our first snorkel in the Caribbean, and researched disposable cameras. This little guy is very affordable. If you buy, get a Micro SD card too. Also, charge it first. When I first got it, I also took some test pictures and looked at them on my computer to make sure it was capturing to the Micro SD Card. On our trip, I was able to get about 150 photos on one charge. There is no flash so the picture quality is going to depend on the "light" conditions in the water. Having said that, I think the pictures turned out great. The water wasn't crystal clear so my pictures weren't either, but they are exactly the way I remembered them being. Being that most disposable cameras give you 27 exposure, this gives you way more pictures to make sure you capture as many as you can, knowing that some will be great and others won't. The only con I would say is the screen is so small and you can't really tell if you are capturing what you want. I just literally pointed to where I thought I should be aiming and shot the picture. Yes, I had some misses but way more hits than misses. Yes, even got some decent selfies underwater too! Took out on the river kayaking too, and had photos taken in the pouring rain (yea waterproof!)! Didn't realize that the Caribbean gets so much rain. Yes, it rains but just as quickly cleared up, so was nice to have the waterproof option just in case. Also, did ok as a regular everyday camera, but when we had sunny days I liked my cell phone camera better as I could see what I was aiming at and the quality of picture is a bit sharper on a cell phone.
