Introducing Final Cut Pro X: Learn by Video Workshop

This innovative product uses interactive video to give viewers an overview of the features in Final Cut Pro X, which Apple has redesigned from the ground up. Final Cut Pro X should be much more accessible to “pro-sumer” videographers, many of whom shoot video with their digital SLR cameras. This video is geared to this new audience, taking them through the fundamentals of video editing, as well as how to get going quickly with Final Cut Pro X, which still is an advanced, pro-level application.

Experienced instructor Joseph Linaschke presents up to four hours of high-quality HD video, complete with lesson files, assessment quizzes, and review materials. The video is wrapped in a unique interface that allows the viewer to jump to any topic and also bookmark individual sections for later review. The unique Watch-and-Work mode shrinks the video into a small window to allow the student to work alongside in Final Cut Pro X. Project files used in the lessons are included on the disc so viewers can practice what they've learned, and interactive review questions help reinforce freshly gained knowledge.

The DVD-ROM is bundled with a printed booklet that provides supplemental material to enhance the video training.

Joseph Linaschke is a Photographic Storyteller, Educator, and the ApertureExpert. He's been shooting since the tender age of seven, teaching and presenting on stage to audiences around the globe for nearly 20 years, and most recently launched ApertureExpert.com in 2010. Following an eight-year tenure at Apple as the lead presenter, occasional photographer, and Technical Marketing Manager for the Professional Applications Division, he stepped out on his own in 2009 to pursue all things photography, full time. Recently he's been speaking to schools and educators in North America and Asia on integrating photography into the classroom and turning the camera into a powerful learning tool, is teaching workshops on Aperture and photography around the world, and has been shooting for clients such as Seal, Apple, and the US Army, and is the author of several books on Aperture, photography, and most recently, Instagram.
