This is a reprint of the book which was published from the 20s to the 40s last century. It is a monumental work written by a scholar who specialized in the history of science. But unfortunately, he died before the work was completed. Students who devote themselves to the study of history of science will profit a lot from reading this book, though it is not easy to go through all of it. Considering its size and contents, the price of the book is reasonable. Of course it is not for the general readers unless he/she is interested in the subject.
