As a Christian who has had many questions concerning my faith, I have always been interested in the study of apologetics. This book served as a good introduction that allowed me to understand the general overview of apologetics and polemics and how to effectively utilize it. The book is short, easy to read, and gives a very straight-forward introduction of what apologetics is and its purpose. I highly recommend Introduction To Integrated Apologetics (Integrated Christian Apologetics) to any Christian, especially those who seek deeper more meaningful answers about the Christian faith, and wish to enhance whatever ministry the Lord has called them for. I look forward to reading the other books in this series of volumes authored by Dr. Johnson Philip and Dr. Sanesh Cherian; two men who are highly qualified teachers of apologetics and theology, and have impressive academic accreditation in their fields of study.

I'm convinced! A very helpful introduction to an important topic. I appreciated the author's comprehensive overview of the history, categories, oppositions, and usefulness of Apologetics. He especially helped me to see that Apologetics is not a substitute for the proclamation of the Gospel, or the working of the Holy Spirit in the heart, but rather a help for sincere seekers after truth. Every Christian should be armed with a reasonable defense against attacks on the faith. Let me now continue my study. However, in his next edition, I hope he edits out his spelling and grammatical errors.

This book is just what it says, introduction. It covers the languages used, groups, and character traits of those groups. It is only an introductory book so don't expect to be able to be proficient at apologetics. It is valuable information to be expanded upon.

I had hoped for a work which expounded upon integrating various apologetics approaches, but was disappointed. Much of this book seemed devoted to those who oppose apologetics. At times, it seemed the authors hold to a view that all of Christendom will collapse if we do not have formally trained apologists to fight the battle for God.
The strong point of this work is where it refers to barrier removal as one of the main points of apologetics. This is very much true. The authors explain that willfully disbelief will not be overcome by any apologetic. This is certainly a thought that needs to be kept in the forefront of the mind of every apologist.

This book contains a few good insights into the objections some Christians give regarding apologetics but makes an abundance of truth claims with no backing support for the claims - specifically in areas of church history in the West. It does make some interesting comparisons and contrasts between Western Christianity and Eastern.
