I thought writing this book would be easy; I've used and worked with LTM for years in various environments, I've solved every conceivable support and design issue going, I had a ton of material I'd already written for a website I used to run, I love technical writing, there wasn't much I didn't know right? This book did not work to well for me. It 's not well organized. I am new to F5 and I was looking for a more ABC approach to the technology. This book is all over the place, verbose and hard to follow. I kinda Like to get an introduction to the technology so I look for these type of texts to contain:
1. The Overview of Load Balancing Theory
2. The Paradigm/Theory of F5 and How it solves the problem of traffic management. How it applies it's algorithms.
3. Get me up and running in the lab. I would like to have a step by step on how to configure an LTM/GTM as the images are freely available.
This book try to tackle to many topics for my taste.
