I don't consider myself much of an introvert, but my girlfriend definitely is and so I wanted a clear guide on how to interact with her better… create more love, intimacy, and connection, etc.
Cain's book was a bit more of a primer on how introversion works in general, but this book (Jordan Gray's) really helped me to see how I could connect with my introverted partner in a way that benefited us both.
There is tons of very clear, direct, advice in this book that Gray doles out. At the same time, he writes in a very engaging, genuine, enthusiastic manner and it sounds like he is directing his words right to you. It might sound cheesy but he has a very good writing style that makes you feel like he's your friend. The kind of tone that makes you think "This guy would be awesome to hang out with in real life".
Solid book… solid advice… it has improved my relationship with my girlfriend times ten and I would definitely recommend this book to others.
For how (relatively) short it is, it packs a huge punch and has some really cool, unique ideas on how to interact with introverts so that everyone wins.
(being a concerned parent) I could tactfully ease into conversations with
my son, who'd like to find that quality woman. As a parent of a young adult,
you have to be very careful with this sort of thing, but I thought perhaps
this book would give me a window into male thinking about women when the
male is a quiet, thoughtful type and maybe the desirable woman is similarly
And this book delivers more than just the usual slight take (the level
you'd expect in a magazine article). Actually, it helps me better appreciate
and understand my 'quiet' young man - not the intention of this book, but
useful for any woman who wants to better understand men who aren't the 'life
of the party' types - that is, most of the men worth knowing.
The author reminds quiet men - and everyone who lives with them or appreciates
them - about the particular strengths being an introvert can bring to relationships
and (since this is written from a male point-of-view) why women worth dating
(and possibly building a life with) value these qualities. What's attractive
to women, navigating the online dating jungle, and how to conduct yourself as
a high-value man seeking a high-value woman for lasting love - that's what this
book promises and delivers.
A useful book for any quiet man who wants to know himself better and wants
better, more satisfying relationships with women, and specifically The One woman.
Equally useful for the women who want to understand, date or marry this man.
The author also includes suggestions for fun dates and ways to deepen relationships
and keep them happy, in the voice of a practical, sensible and wise friend.
A thoughtful book, for thoughtful readers.
