I use this software for our business and have been very pleased. It is very user friendly as I have had to train myself how to use. I have had no problems learning to do whatever I need from basic entering checks & deposits to setting up reports for our CPA.
It has been quite different from thevery old version I had, yet I feel once I get through the learning process, I think I will like it more and more. I can say it serves as a good tool for home and small business and something our CPA has recommended for such purposes as taxes!
I have QB 2010 as well. So I had an idea what to expect with 2012 and my expectations were correct. I have a very small business and QB 2012 meets these needs very well. I find this software easy to use (I am not an accountant) and rather straight forward. Seamless compatiability with Abobe Acrobate 9 and Microsoft Office 2010. Installation with Windows 7 was a effortless. I use QB 2012 as an electronic cash register (ie. all purchases transactions and inventory management) and print receipts on a laser printer. Keep in mind QB 2012 is not POS software but serves well as a register. If you are a first time QB user, take the time to become familiar with this software or talk to an accountant before using in a production environment. This will help greatly in preventing incorrect accounting data being entered and big headaches later. For my use this is good software. I gave only 4 stars because the software is weighed heavily with accounting knowledge (GAAP stuff). This is not all bad, just a bit of a challenge at times for us "non accountants".
