I've never written a book review on here, but I put a lot of weight on reviews and ratings when choosing books on here. I felt the need for this book, because I can only assume the 5 star rating for this book is seriously skewed by the delirious tween Twi-hard fan club. I read the first book of the series and went through it pretty fast. First half, I was loving it, then I realized it was mostly due to the anticipation of finding out what they were. Once that happened, novelty wore off pretty quickly. But I'm not a quitter and persevered to read this 2nd book in the series.
The overall plot and character dynamics follow the same predictable template this genre seems to stick to. Barely legal girl must choose between two men who profess their undying love for her- One impossibly old, mysterious and brooding who ignites passion and another somewhat normal, safe All-American boy/best-friend. Blah blah, sound familiar???
The whole `everyone line up to protect Evie!' while Evie does everything possible to come up with some stupid half-brained idea to sacrifice herself to protect her friends. "No! I won't allow you to sacrifice yourself for me! Let me sacrifice for you because I just can't possibly live without you!" It got so old and tiresome I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room.
So the times that Evie swings over to Team Reed, it gets sickening after awhile. I can only take so many "You are so perfect", "You make my blood boil", etc before my eyes roll back in my head permanently and I hurl.
If you are looking for the cookie cutter template from Twilight, Immortals, etc then great, you would probably like it (though I thought Twilight was better overall). If you are slightly more emotionally evolved then look elsewhere. I don't think I've ever just quit a trilogy in the midst, but I've made an exception. I don't think I can stomach reading another 300 pages without my brain turning to mashed potatoes.

This is the 2nd book in the Premonition Series & I can't believe Ms. Bartol was able to out do book one. I read a lot of paranormal genre books, but this series is outstanding! Rarely do I stay up past midnight reading. I can usually put a book down & let my better judgement win out on the fact that I have to get up in the morning. Intuition is so engrossing & action packed, I couldn't turn my kindle off.
I am on pins & needles to know what will happen next. Like a reviewer above, I don't want to read the excerpt from the next book. It will be too much of a tease to bear!

I read the first book (Inescapable) in a few days and really liked it! You become pretty invested in the characters, but nothing like you do in this book! Amy Bartol creates a much more complex world and brings the drama and romance to a whole other level. At the end of this book I was dying to know what happens in the third one. I loved the introduction of the new characters SPOILER ALERT:I cannot tell you how much more I love this villain vs the one introduced in the first one. Such a great and fun read that has you begging for more at the end! Can't wait for the 3rd installment!!!

Intuition was...FANTASTIC! I could not bring myself to read the preview of Indebted because I want to read it all and it's not out yet! Very action packed. There were a couple of times I was crying too. I love books that bring all sorts of emotions out and Intuition doesn't disappoint!!!!

This book gave me hours of entertainment. The story line in this book is not only exciting but pulls the reader in - loving the characters and cheering them on through their trials and tribulations (and there are a ton of them!). This story has angels, love triangles, adventures, losses, intrigue and twists and turns around every corner. As soon as I read the first two, I went back and read them again while waiting for book three to come out. Each book is better than the previous one. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

I loved this book! Amy wrote this book so well. I would get all anxious that she was going to take the book on a turn I didn't want it to go, but then someone would come to the rescue and I could breath a sigh of relief. She scared me quite a few times. Some great new (and sometimes creepy) characters were brought into this book. It had some great romance, but not too much to make you sick. This book kept me entertained and I finished it in one day. Love Reed and Evie! I can not wait for book 3, and hope she writes it quickly. Recommend to all older teens and adults.

I loved the first book but then this one degenerated from a hot angel romance to gross vampire blood sucking. Plus the heroine is too stuck on the theme of constantly sacrificing herself for the two guys she loves, not to mention that guy two hangs on like a love-sick puppy despite clearly not being chosen by the heroine. Really, his behaviour is just embaressing and irritating.

I think I'm starting to warm up to this series. I read the Kricket series and absolutely loved it. I couldn't bring myself to like this series due to the dialogue. I couldn't stand the way Russell talks in the book. I don't have a problem with his southern accent but hearing and reading it are two different things. I did not need the spelling to match the accent. I can imagine it. So of course it took some warming up for me cause I found it annoying. And of course, as soon as I got use to Russell, we meet Brennus and Finn for whom reading the dialogue is even worse. Seriously? I have to re-read certain sentences but it just looks like give gibberish on my kindle. Honestly, just say he had an Irish accent and leave it to the imagination of the readers.

Annoying dialogues aside, the story line is pretty interesting which kept me going. The story line has to be interesting enough otherwise, trust me, I would have not put myself through the torture of the dialogue.

I don't love Evie but I don't hate her either. I guess I like her enough to be Able to stand her character. She's too stubborn for my taste. Honestly everyone is trying to save her and she just does what she wants. For god's sake, just let your pride down and let someone do something for you. Making everyone's lives miserable for no reason

Reed - now he is the power play for me. I love him. Dark, brooding, dominant and romantic. Some of the stuff he says just melts my heart. He's def an angel. He's able to persuade a girl from her soulmate, he's gotta be freaken hot all around. The voicemails he left for Evie in this book totally shattered my heart. He loves her so much. Sigh.

Russell - I did not like him at first and that may have been partially due to this annoying dialogues but not his fault.
