The only thing I would point out is that a large part of the book centers on the development circle and many of the exercises in the book are done with partners or in a development circle. If you don't have access to a circle, as I don't, then you will not benefit from some of these exercises. It would be nice to find a book that teaches more how to develop on your own. Gordon has his reasons, though, that the development circle is important, and talks about this in the book. It is still a very good book, one that I would suggest anyone interested in developing their mediumship skills should not do without.
If some one wants to read excellent books about psychic abilities etc., look Debra Katz, she is a true teacher, you will see what I am talking.
I have been highly interested in mediumship, but I have started with zero intuition.
He makes it clear that developing intuition and mediumship can take months or years. However, very quickly, (within 2 lessons), he goes into interpreting messages from Spirit. I have tried to develop my intuition for a year now - by meditating intently, regularly and patiently - and I still have no real intuition that I can sense.
Don't get me wrong, my meditation has brought about a lot of life-changing results that I am extremely grateful for, but intuition is not one of them.
Perhaps I might recommend this book to someone who already has some intuition, but needs help tuning and developing it further.
