First, I can walk, but not very far as my balance is terrible and I fatigue easily, so this walker meet my needs. I am also considerably younger (mid-thirties) than what people think of when they hear about someone using a walker.
The appearance of the walker is great. I chose blue and was happy with the finish. The seat looks great, too. The foam back rest isn't entirely attractive, but I accidentally ripped mine while loading it one day, so I grabbed decorative duct tape and made the whole thing super pretty and extra durable.
This thing is sturdy! I am definitely plus size and it holds up without any hesitation whatsoever. It is rock solid. If you are hesitant to purchase based on your weight, don't hold off any longer because this walker has you covered.
It is also very comfortable. The seat is extra roomy and also padded.
The storage basket underneath is super convenient. I can easily store a large purse in there with room to spare.
It is bulky, and for our smaller car, we could put it in the trunk, but would have to take down the handles to make it fit. Our other car is quite roomy and the walker doesn't even take up half the backseat.
Now, the instructions say not to sit in the walker and move. At first, I obeyed, but now I treat it like a wheelchair from time to time. Well, most of the time, to be honest. And it is still doing just fine.
I use this walker frequently, even at campsites and it has held up well beyond my expectations. It is definitely worth the money considering the quality of life increase.
Also, there was an issue with my order and it was resolved in a timely, pleasant manner. I highly recommend this brand!
I was recently in the hospital for major back surgery and changing to this walker upped the distance I walked each day almost beyond belief. I went from 4 to5 hundred steps with a standard walker to more than 2000 steps instantly.
The few kinks are as follows:
1. The hand grips have a wing on the inside. These wings, which are there to help provide a better grip, can also hurt when a persons body goes past them.
2. The nut covers supplied do not fit well and can cause a hazard when they come off while going through tight places.
3. The backrest has only a single position.an additional hole or two would be great to be able to raise or lower the backrest.
