Headed to a campground in Roswell, New Mexico with their friends Jane Ann and Mickey (who happened to be Larry’s sister and brother-in-law) the two motorhomes eventually settled side by side in the park. Exhaustion hit both couples quickly and they all went to bed early.
After a day of sight-seeing, the news when they returned to the park wasn’t good. And it wasn’t going to get any better either – certainly not for the friends on this camping holiday. What was it about Larry and Frannie; Jane Ann and Mickey – that always seemed to attract trouble?
The Space Invader is the 7th in the Frannie Shoemaker Campground Mystery series by Karen Musser Nortman and it’s a light-hearted cosy mystery which I thoroughly enjoyed. Each episode is easy to read, and it was great to catch up with the four friends once again. Highly recommended for fans of cosy mysteries.
I also loved that it took place in an area where we have traveled. The Southwest is in itself full of mystery and it was fun to imagine the places I have been while reading this book.
I guess the only thing that I questioned was, how could this guy find room to move around in the storage area? Haha...I sure don't think we have that kind of space in our RV! :)
I love your imagination, Ms. Nortman! Thanks and keep it up!! Can't wait for the next mystery!!
"lay low" instead of "lie low...." .."they're going to let us lay down..." "...have to lay on the floor..." "lay still now..."
