This watch has gotten me more compliments than any I've previously owned, but don't let the appearance distract you. I've owned it now for almost 3 months and can say first that you should not let the description "Divers Watch" fool you. I have worn it into my swimming pool on several occasions, and have found that moisture gets into the space between the outer crystal and the inner glass protecting the mechanism. So I have to look at water that rolls around the inside edge daily, and the glass somewhat fogs up from the trapped moisture. I keep the cap on the winding mechanism tight, so I know that this problem is not my fault. In addition, the watch loses 2 minutes of time weekly. I have also found on several occasions that, after removing it before bedtime, that it either stops during the night or gets off by a few hours, despite the fact that I keep it wound fairly tight daily. Now the chain holding the winding cover fell off. Although they say it has a one year warranty, they charge you $28 for repair to supposedly cover return shipping and insurance (which actually costs less than 1/4 of that amount). This watch in my opinion is just another example of cheap Chinese crap the American public eats up because of the price, much like the Swiss Legend watch I bought previously, which leaked like a sieve. Keep looking - this ain't the right choice.

UPDATE: 7/1/14: I returned the watch for warranty repair almost 3 weeks ago. Today I called to check on status, and after a 30-minute hold was informed that it was shipped to Switzerland for repair and it would take 90 days before I would receive it back. This, on top of the $28 shipping, is absolutely insane.

After a couple of weeks having this watch, I am truly amazed at how comfortable it is despite its size.
As a medium build guy, I knew what I was getting into when I purchased it. It is a quite impressive piece. Un-boxing it when it arrived (rather quickly) was a pure joy. It was well protected, and in the gorgeous Invicta yellow box. For me, I probably will not wear it casually with short sleeve shirt, etc. . . But it's a knockout with a long sleeve shirt (black especially). Gets a lot of attention and compliments. The routine of winding it every evening is addicting, and satisfying. I've recently purchased another Russian Diver skeleton watch for more casual use (Model 1088). It keeps time quite well, and I always check it against my computer's clock. For the price, it is a real value and a blast to wear out.

    The one and only Positive
-It looks amazing. I thought I was going to hate it (It was in his wish list 2 years), but it is sharp.

I wish I had pulled Invicta on the BBB before I purchased (Invicta has an F rating). I purchased this watch in Feb. for my husband's birthday at the end of March. When it arrived I could tell it was a return because the plastic protecting the face had been removed and laid to the side inside the 2 boxes it comes in. That I could have lived with. With weekend wear only and the required daily winding it broke after only about 2 weeks of him having it. We go to the Invicta website and start the repair service order. In the check-out process we are given an error message. He calls them and while he is on hold I check the account. Two payments one for $32 and the other for $28 are already pending despite their error message. He is ON HOLD FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR and the entire time his place in line is counting down while his wait time is going up. He sends them an email that has had no response. I pull them up on the BBB and wow an F with all the complaints from the last 2 months getting no response from the business. Tonight we try to login to the account and it will not allow us to login. It says more than one contact is registered for his email address. SKETCHY SKETCHY.

    The CONS:
-Cheaply made. This is his third the cheaper two only lost their bands (you can only purchase them from Invicta). This one has an internal issue.
-The BBB gives them an F rating for a reason.
-Invicta customer service doesn't exists. They have a phone no one answers.
-You have to buy replacement parts from them.

So basically they have almost $300 of our money and we have a $2 paperweight. If you buy this you're going to need someone with access to their special parts.

Mines just came in the mail and I can not lie. This is a beautiful watch. Yea, you have to wind it up because it works like the old grand father clocks but still a all around gorgeous watch so I still give it 5 stars. It's big and slightly heavy, don't feel cheap at all. I have big hands so It looks beautiful on my wrist and it caught a few eyes while in the store earlier today. It came with the original sticker price attached to it. My lady thought I paid $1,400 for the watch and didn't believe me when I told her what I paid so I had to show her the ad on Amazon that's when she believed me. If you like big watches this is definitely the watch for you. I have no complaints at all. I will definitely buy another one.
