The watch is easily readable in daylight and nighttime. I've seen videos compared to what Seiko or Citizens uses for glow in the dark and the Invicta watch is not as bright, BUT that doesn't matter much as you can still see during the night when waking up quickly, boom 4:30 am, easily. It'll last all night long with just the light its randomly exposed to.
Only negative I see is the stopwatch not being as 'telling' as a digital display stopwatch. You might get an accurate reading if you look close enough to where the hands are pointing at though. One small thing I also noticed, I work using my hands and moving around all day so sometime my wrist pulls the knob out and changes the date and have had instances where it pulls all the way out and changes the time, but the watch doesn't lose time how I've seen others comment. Whether it looses seconds or minutes, I don't know because every other week or so I compare it to Time.Gov website and make adjustments accordingly.
