As for the seconds hands not hitting the marks mine does not suffer from this issue. The time keeping is excellent, less than +5 seconds a day off! That is stellar for any time piece.
The crown is easy to open and adjust but when seated will keep water out 500 meter depth. The swiss Quartz movement is well recognized and sought after with a general price in other brands from 600.00-3500.00 US. Swiss Made Ronda 715LI Quartz Comes with 5 year warranty, Flame Fusion Crystal, Bezel 47mm out to crown so not Huge and comic looking like others. The size is just right for many to wear. When sizing this watch note the pins on links are screw out first with two small flat heads, one to hold while unscrewing arrow side pin, then push out to remove. Push pin back up towards arrow then replace small screw in link, then tighten down again with flat head if doing yourself. Very important to insure you do not damage and lock or bend pins. This is very easy to do yourself.
Overall I would have to say this is a very affordable functional Dive and Luxury watch, that is worth wearing and adding to your collection. It was on the top 10 list for Divers under 300.00 with Seiko, Deep Blue, Vic. Swiss Army and others. The statement was "Top notch Professional water ready Diver at any price with well illuminated face and hands, one of the best movements offered to date."
I wear it often in between my much higher priced watches costing 20 to 100 times more and funny thing is many people stop and take the time to comment and praise the watch in passing.
If you are considering a medium-large faced diver with the engine of a Porsche, reliability of a Mercedes at the price of an Infiniti this is it!
Unidirectional rotating bezel and strong lume, white over black.
Part of the Reserve collection means the 1542 is hand and Swiss made.
This is a good everyday watch. What I like most about it is its lithium battery, which is supposed to get 10 years; however, my watch maker told me to expect more like 7 or 8.
In any event, if you want Rolex styling, long battery life, and reserve build quality at a price of around $150, you can't do wrong with the 1542.
I am nothing but impressed so far with this watch, period! I do not have a large wrist but I have many large watches, this is no exception. While it is larger than my SubAqua by almost 4mm, it is thinner and lighter. The screw-in links and the push button deployment band are a bonus. The 1542 looks like my 8926 on steroids and with higher quality parts. The second hand is barely off center of the marks as it sweeps around, but the hour and minute hands are dead on.
I wanted another Reserve watch and this was well worth it at the price.
