I have been searching for a premiumwatch for some time now
on September 23, 2014
I have been searching for a premium watch for some time now. After being a former Rolex owner for many years, I have become accustomed to a quality-made time piece. When I came across this Invicta Men's Pro Diver Swiss Chronograph, I was very impressed with the photos and specs. I went over the reviews and the only negatives I read pertained to the watch's size and weight. Go figure?...I decided to order this watch for a price of $85.99! The watch posts a retail price of $895.00! WOW! I could not believe the actual purchase price! What could be wrong with this watch I thought? The watch has a premium crystal, solid stainless steel construction, premium S.S. band, 18 ct. gold ion-plated bezel, crown, and pushers, and most importantly, a Swiss Movement! How could I go wrong I thought? When I received the watch the first thing I noticed was the impressive overall weight of the watch and case together. First class all the way. The product inserts with warranty card and associated info packets were also included. But when I took the watch out of the box for the first time I could not believe my eyes! This thing weighs 1.1 pounds! It without a doubt is as beautifully designed and built as any watch I have ever owned or seen! It outweighed both Rolexe's I previously owned! And the craftsmanship is all Swiss! How this watch could be sold at this give-away price is beyond me! It is truly an $895.00 watch value! All functions seem to properly operate and the watch is large and imposing. This is definately for a large man, not a slim dude by any means. I am 6'-5" tall and weigh 280 pounds, and I had to have 2 links removed and the band adjusted to its minimum size. However, the watch is still too loose on my wrist and will need further adjustment. I am a former scuba diver of many years ago and I suspect that the size of the large band allows for a wet suit to be worn. With a rated depth of 660 feet, this is a true deep water scuba watch! I asked the jeweler how much he thought I paid for the watch and he replied... "Not under $500.00 for sure." When I told him what I paid for it he about fell out of his chair! He also admitted that the watch was truly an incredible bargain and that the watch was like nothing he had ever seen. He marveled at the size and weight! Final assesment..."This time piece is probably one of the finest watches I have ever owned!" The only thing I might be a little concerned about is how long it will be before the 18 ct. gold starts to show wear. As in most all "gold plated" jewelry it is just a matter of time before the plating wears off due to handling, sweat, soap, etc. But if this 18 ct. gold "Ion Plating" holds up, this will be a beautiful and impressive time piece for a long time, and the best value in a watch I have ever seen Amazon list! Grab it while you can at this price! 5 Star all the way!
