Got what I paid for
on January 22, 2014
The watch looks fantastic, and I frequently get comments on it, so that's nice. However, the band and the clasp scratched fairly quickly, and the crystal can be a chore to keep clean sometimes. For a while I thought the upper and lower buttons on the side were only there for decoration, so I was pleasantly surprised when I managed to unscrew them and revealed the chronograph/stopwatch/timer/whatever-it's-called function. Don't judge, I'm new to watches.
The main reason I'm giving this watch three stars is because the second hand gets off between the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position as it goes around the face. It is fairly minute, and I didn't notice it at first, but the hand misses the little tick marks around the edge of the face, and marks each second right between each tick mark. Interestingly enough, this only occurs between the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, or between the 15th and 45th seconds of every minute, but it's enough to be slightly annoying, considering watches aren't supposed to do that.
The watch did come in a very nice case, and well packaged, which is a redeeming factor, but you will most likely need to have it sized, unless you happen to have wrists as thick as tree trunks. The watch has good weight to it, enough so that you know that it's there, but it's certainly not annoyingly heavy.
I got what I paid for, and considering I paid 80-some dollars total, I shouldn't really be complaining. If you want a nice looking watch, but can deal with one or two potential, small issues, go for it. I wear it daily, I have for over 9 months now, and I'm not in a hurry to replace it.
