Replaced a rusted custom exhaust system on my frs left on by the previous owner. The previous system had a super10 muffler (almost like a straight pipe), it was overly obnoxious and very loud. Terrible for a non-turbo frs. I paid good money for my Q300 and I am very happy that I did. It roars when you want it too, but it is quiet enough for normal, everyday driving. I can actually can have a normal conversation in my car, listen to music when I want, and turn heads when I drive by. The whole system uses higher quality stainless steel (sus304), so it resists rust very well. Burn it in for a couple months and it'll sound even better. Thanks Invidia!

This exhaust is quiet, honestly, almost annoyingly quiet. Considering the price, I was expecting a moderate increase in sound from the exhaust, yet to be honest, it is almost as quiet as stock. I ended up replacing the cat with a straight pipe just to do something about the quietness. The exhaust however is still rated at 4 stars simply because the sound it DOES make make is pleasant. If you're looking for something that sounds as loud as stock but with a deeper sound, this exhaust if perfect. However, if you're looking for something that makes noise, look elsewhere.

It's very nicely made. It doesn't mate up perfectly with JDL front pipe, but close enough to work. It sounded very nice right away, and then continued to sound good for a couple months. But then the sound absorption material burned off (glasspack style) and now it sounds like it's just an empty can. It is LOUD and not in a good way, at least not in combination with the JDL UEL headers I installed. I'm a VW / Porsche person at heart, so I like a nice flat-4 or flat-6 sound. This is not a nice sound. I contacted Invidia and they said "yeah it burns off and gets louder." I think that's stupid. I've had other, higher-quality systems on cars (Dansk) and motorcycles (Staintune, Remus) that keep the tone they have right out of the box and are clearly designed for that tone. This Q300 system cannot possibly be designed for the sound it gets now that the sound absorption material is burned off. Not cool. I will eventually replace it with something of higher quality.

I've put over 300 miles on the exhaust and I really can't tell much difference with the stock one. Thus the 4 stars. At idle it sounds a bit deeper but that's it. The shop that installed it said it fit perfectly. It only took them an hour to install. If it get louder I'll post a follow up.
