Short and sweet, it is a required book for a class I am taking for my Master's Degree. That being said, college books can be sand paper across the eyeballs, this one is not. It is well written and very easy to grasp and deal with, especially if you have some psychology or statistical math background (though not needed, you know what they are talking about "behind the scenes" if you have it).

If you must take a Social Research Course, this is a good book to have an Instructor require.

Content is decent but not advanced. All of these text books put out by this company are available in international edition - which I am finding is EXACTLY the same for a fraction of the cost. These are text books with inflated price tags, this is my 3rd book from publisher (2 US, 1 International) students and I spoke - the books are identical, I will be buying international for the remainder of courses that require this publisher.

I never in a million years thought I would call a 'research' book 'wonderful.' This one is. Part of it is an incredible professor (makes it fun to learn), but this book is easy to read and has great examples. Very clear! Worded in understandable English, not "Researchish." I highly recommend it!

This textbook is an excellent reference! I see I have 14more WORDS required, so I guess paying hard to come by student money for a book that I should have got an online version wasn't enough. Quit being so demanding, Amazon.

This book was ok for a general idea.
It needed to give more details on major topic areas in this field better. I used a pocket guide with it and it worked out well for my class.

This book is ok, wish it was a bit more easier to read, I mean as in encouraging to keep reading, it a little dry and boring, but otherwise It came in great condition.

Although I am not into reading huge textbooks, this book uses real-life stories that will definitely keep your attention. It will show you how it's done in modern day.
