This little $5.59 part just saved me $299. The GPS died in my iPhone 6 (out of warranty) and the Apple Store wanted $299 to replace the phone. I took apart the phone myself (it's pretty easy with the iPhone 6) and found the old antenna had one of the connectors broken off. I put in this new one and GPS was back and alive again...and even my wifi signal returned to its previously-strong state.

And P.S. - I did receive the little red and blue screwdrivers with my order.

If you're looking to fix your faulty GPS or bluetooth issues and your applecare has expired and they've told you to 'fix' it you'd have to pay $200-$300 for it - well then rest assured, this indeed does work.

Caveat. It will take a freaking long time, your back will hurt, your neck will strain but all in all, you'll save a few hundred bucks and rescue your possibly-defected iphone 6.

We replaced the antenna flex cable and it's been going strong for a few weeks. Bro's phone's GPS can actually find him and the bluetooth doesnt' disconnect randomly anymore. Wifi was never that much of an issue for him, except the range wasn't that good, he hasn't complained or said anything about that so...

Now, as others have said, this is definitely NOT an amateur fix. Unless you've had some background with taking apart stuff, I wouldn't try this the first time with such an $$$ phone. It took us close to 2.5 hours total to get the whole thing done. We followed ifixits breakdown of the iphone6 to see where the heck the ribbon cable was, you basically have to tear out half your phone to get to it. Everything comes out of it except for the battery & camera. Make sure you have all the tools too. The philips screwdriver on this is a bit weak, doesn't fit well in some of the screws but good thing we have a set of high quality ones that we bought for other repairs. Bought this specific brand cause it came with the dreaded pentalobe screwdriver that we don't have.

We did encounter an issue when reassembling the darn phone. Did a turn on test with all the ribbons attached and the screen wouldn't turn on. Tried to redo all the ribbons, checked to make sure they're all plugged in, but nope didn't work. Tried a different order, put the screen ribbons on first and the battery one LAST.Read more ›

Seems to have helped fix my wifes Iphone 6 with her not being able to find broadcasting wifi signals. Its not a task for the light of heart. It is a real pain to get this this antenna in the phone. It is behind the logic board, so you have to take everything out first. Overall took about a 1.5 hours to take apart and put back together, and phone seems to getting better signal.
Don't be misled about other parts to fix the wifi. The wifi chip is soldered into the logic board. It is not removeable. The other item people seem to but is a cover for the wifi chip, and then they wonder why it still doesn't work. Make sure you get the right parts if you are going to take on this endeavor. You will encounter impossibly small screws, and you will need a eyeglass repair flathead screw driver which does NOT come with this set, which is why I dinged it one star. There is only one screw (the standoff screw) which requires a tiny flathead, and without it, you aren't getting the logic board out to replace this antenna.

Fixed my GPS inaccuracy straight away. It isn't difficult to replace, but you must take your time. I would suggest taking a picture of the inside of your phone with a different phone. Print the picture on letter size paper and use this picture to keep your screws organized when you remove them.

Like many others I took the gamble to do this fix. My gps was off, wifi reception range was drastically lower and had Bluetooth range issues. All my online research lead to this part.

I would strongly suggest you get the complete kit for iphone disassembly. I'm taking one star off because supplying the screw drivers makes you think you have everything you need to do this fix. Now this is partly true because you can find household tools which can help get the job done but don't start iphone disassemby without knowing what tools you need.

Make sure you are confident enough to do the disassemby. The screws are tiny and of varying lengths. It took me around 2 hrs but I pulled it off!!! Follow the ifixit instructions to the dot and you will be fine!

I went to the Apple store because my phone's GPS and WIFI didn't work. I was told that my logic board was a lemon and that there was nothing they could do but offer a refurb phone for $299.

A week later I ordered this part, replaced it, and now my phone works PERFECTLY!

I am wondering if maybe the original cable still works but was just loose, but by the time I had removed the logic board I sure didn't want to put it all back together with a possibly broken part and have to do it all again. For $8.09 this can't be beat!
