I did not think this helped at all. Basically, it said if you know where your ancestors were from, you could find more information about them. It had very few suggestions on how to find where in Ireland they are from. I have been able to find more about my ancestors on my own.

I think this is the best introduction to Irish Genealogy you can buy. By the editor of Irish Roots magazine. Discusses 12 major sources in considerable detail. Others may have more on specific topics but this covers the topic broadly and does it well.
