The second patch went on fine and stuck well. The first day of wear was really an acid test for these patches on the job: All day on a roof, laying composite asphalt shingles. The verdict: Failed. It turns out that these patches aren't made of the same weight of material that most jeans are, so don't expect that they will wear like the rest of your jeans; at the end of the day, my patch was worn through and shredded. I don't think this is the patch's fault, and this is reflected in my rating. For decorative purposes and for light usage, I think these are fine. Indeed, the material is attractive and convincingly faded that should match well to mildly faded jeans.
So, four stars for a decent product that ought to work as it should within limitations. They did not work out for me, but my use was extreme. Before I shredded it, the patch was well stuck-on to my jeans and looked good - and this is the basis for my rating.
I apply the patches to the inside of the jeans, to strengthen the knees, and keep the patch hidden. You just flip the jeans inside out, iron the leg, take 45 seconds to iron on the patch, and you're done. It's fast and saves money.
Although it only comes with two patches, at 5 by 5 they're a good size. Using a pair of scissors, I can get two to four decent size patches depending on whether I'm just strengthening the knee area in general, or actually trying to patch a hole.
Finally, most patches start to come off after a few washes, requiring you to trim the edges to help keep the patch on longer, but i haven't had that problem with these patches yet, which is an added bonus.

Unlike the Bandana patches, these work very well. I've used this brand before, always pleased.Published 11 months ago by CJ
Not the color I wanted. I was trying to find faded jean patches and these are halfway between dark and faded, so they were too dark. Read morePublished 16 months ago by SoundsGood2Me
