"This book is one hell of a ride! Dark and gothic, it's a well written summer thriller to read under the covers." --The Book Lover's Best Friend
About the Author
Sloane Kady is first a mother, wife, and dedicated military spouse. Then comes all the fun with words. As an artist and lover of all things macabre, she finds inspiration in the darkest of corners and finds beauty in honesty, even when it’s undiluted and bleeding and so raw that you want to look away. Honesty was the first breath of life for Irreparable Deeds, Sloane Kady’s first novel. If Kady promises anything, it’s to never shy away from the truth. When Kady’s not writing, she spends every moment possible with her husband and their lovely daughters. For those who know her personally, you know that the occasional, spontaneous round of pine tree-sniffing isn’t out of the question. Late at night, when other writers are burning the midnight oil, you can be sure to find this horror-loving, suspense-writing, potty-mouthed, tattooed novelist fast asleep in her comfiest pajamas. After all, not all dark, twisted souls are terribly exciting. But rest assured, she’ll hold off on the tree-sniffing long enough to pour herself into her next novel. Sloane Kady's tale of a family gone wrong is at times heartbreaking and terrifying. Throughout all of the emotions she puts the reader through, her story is always believable. The characters are real people with very real problems and flaws. The story flows smoothly, gaining momentum like a roller coaster barreling down a steep incline. The writing is phenomenal, packed with suspense, intrigue and gritty emotion. This is a brilliant novel that deserves, no, demands to be read.
I never put spoilers in my reviews but I will say this: I simply can not wait for the inevitable sequel.
