Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military Kindle Edition

4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars 2,622 ratings

Irresistible Revolution is a timely and bold contribution from an active-duty Space Force lieutenant colonel who sees the impact of a neo-Marxist agenda at the ground level within our armed forces. In it, author Matthew Lohmeier provides answers to many important questions that Americans are currently asking: Is systemic racism a reality, or is much of our talk about race merely a rhetorical tool used to divide Americans? Why has the Defense Department suddenly shifted to a focus on extremism within the ranks? Is there really a white supremacy or white nationalist problem within our armed forces? Are the many Diversity and Inclusion trainings that are being conducted in our federal agencies helping solve these problems, or are they creating conflict where none previously existed? What is Marxism, and what does it have to do with all of this?

Though pundits often appear perplexed by current policy decisions being made in our country, our apparent missteps are part of a longstanding plot against America, patiently and methodically pursued by those with a mind intent on the overthrow of the US Government and its replacement with a communist dictatorship. Unfortunately, many of those now furthering that agenda do so unwittingly.

After becoming aware of the Marxist conquest of American society, you will never again look at things in the same way. Mainstream media, social media, the public education system (including universities), as well as federal agencies have all become vessels of various schools of thought that are rooted in Marxist ideology - an ideology bent on the destruction of America's history, of Western tradition, specifically Judeo-Christian values, and of patriotism and conservatism. Marxism's sinister and dark agenda has led the country into what some have called a cold civil war. The problem has become systemic, a tragedy considering that the defeat of Marxist-communist ideology was the very cause against which our nation spent great treasures of blood and iron during much of the twentieth century.

The book's three-part framework begins with a discussion of the greatness of the American ideal (including the importance of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the notions of individual and civil liberties), transitions to an examination of the history and overarching narrative of Marxist ideology (specifically Marx's and Engels' Communist Manifesto wherein the oppressor vs. oppressed narrative is developed), and concludes by looking into the ongoing transformation of America's military culture and military policy, while also providing a warning about where the country is headed if we choose to not make an immediate course correction.

Irresistible Revolution also covers a breadth of hot topics everyone is hearing and talking about - topics that actually have implications for our national security: woke ideology, cancel culture, identity politics, the Black Lives Matter movement, anti-racism, postmodernism, political correctness, and critical and cynical theories, to include critical race theory. Lohmeier's penetrating and common sense look at current events within our military and across American society is a sublimely unique contribution that is certain to be shared, referenced, and discussed for years to come. Every American, including every US military servicemember, needs to read and understand the Irresistible Revolution.

Whenever I decide whether or not to buy a book, I look at the reviews. There weren't many when I bought this book. But now that I've read it, I can tell that all the 1-star reviewers did NOT read this book. Red flags include, "If you like Faux News, you'll like this book," and "right-wing propaganda." There is no substance in the reviews whatsoever, and their ideology is quite obvious. Also, I didn't see any "verified purchase." SO BEWARE OF THE 1- AND 2-STAR REVIEWS!

Some of the fake reviewers parrot feigned outrage at Colonel Lohmeier for "partisan activity in the military." Indeed, he was relieved of his command for writing this book. But when you really think about it, is it "partisan" to warn the country about Marxism in the military? Or is it more in keeping with his oath to "defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC?" I'd say the latter.

The fake critics also accuse Colonel Lohmeier of writing the book to make money. Seriously? Surely he knew the risk he was taking, and after working so hard and achieving the position of commander at Space Force, would he really throw that all away to make a buck? And most important, how would he even know the book would sell?

When you read the book, Colonel Lohmeier's sincere concern for our country practically jumps off the pages. He provides an excellent review of Marxism and its precursors, which I think is necessary to fully appreciate the damage critical race theory (rooted in Marxism) is doing to our country. He provides truly shocking and depressing examples of what our servicemen (and women) are being taught, and he sees the divisiveness it's causing right before his eyes. He fears a once cohesive military unit is becoming divided and resentful--not a good recipe for a unified fighting force.

Colonel Lohmeier is a patriot and a scholar. The extensive research he put into his book is impressive, and he provides an excellent list of recommended books at the end. Indeed, he does leave us begging for more, which, to me, is the mark of a great book!

PLEASE if you know anyone currently serving in the military, give them this book. It will help them understand what's happening, that some military leaders may not have the country's best interest at heart, as hard as that is to believe.

Important truths for today. Well written by a great man.
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2021
Lt. Colonel Lohmeier has written a book that I suspect many have wanted to write, I would include myself. The problem he describes is if anything is understated -- I write this as a tenured college / university faculty member forced into early retirement for reasons directly related to issues he raises. This book would be useful for both a person coming from a limited background, as well as one who is very well versed in the issues.

In particular the author does an excellent job of organizing the subject and presents a brief, digestible, yet comprehensive views of complex subjects such as Marxism. He offers clear, well explained definitions of amorphous terms commonly used by the purveyors of these ideas, concepts that are relatively new, seldom explained clearly, often at all. He then traces the origin of the concept and their history in detail so that further exploration is easily possible.

However as one who was familiar with the background and has lived and experienced this first hand in a public collegiate setting, he also offers unique insights into both the general and he specific problems these trends have created for members of the armed forces and the service academies which train their leadership.

Its price and accessibility make it a valuable resource for anyone wanting to speak about this subject in a clear and comprehensible fashion. Its candor, though careful to omit naming names for obvious reasons, gives you a clear and accurate picture of how angry, vengeful and intent on wreaking harm these members of the academy, including students, are to the society we live in, and specifically to higher education.

I can verify that in my own career I have found many examples of precisely these activities stretching from the early 80s when I went to college as an undergraduate, through my doctoral work in Political Science, and a 25-year teaching career ended abruptly due to the goals of the dominant force in most faculty on college campuses these days; Leftist faculty who wish to eradicate any viewpoint besides their own. If there is anything to have stressed more, it is that this force is not dangerous only because of the extreme examples cited, but that it is nearly ubiquitous. Anyone who believes today self-identified Liberals have tolerance as it is traditionally understood, are completely mistaken. Liberals now, and for some time, define themselves in large part by being virulently aggressive towards any viewpoint other than their own. While some may not be as caustic as the specific examples mentioned, it should be highlighted that the variance is only in intensity, not in orientation. Liberal tolerance to opposing viewpoints in my 38-year career in academics has been a diminishing commodity and now has descended often into a contest in which proponents compete to display their degree of intolerance. Undergraduates previously were fortunate to be scoffed at and dismissed as sophomoric, more often being accused of being too stupid to understand these concepts, or simply malevolent. Now students or faculty that seek entrance to the academy above that level have a 100% probability of meeting resistance to their very presence on campus based solely on any belief other than Cultural Marxism. This is reached the absurd level of forcing “confessions” of White Privilege and other demeaning and Orwellian practices required by administrations now subservient to this dogma.

The most important and powerful argument I found in the book was that it pointed out something that at least the military offers an argument for banishing these harmful and destructive forces from service academies. Simply put, they are in direct conflict with member's oath of office. I will not elaborate on this, but it is a simple, powerful and unavoidable conclusion, and because I very much hope this book is widely purchased. If you are fed up with the Double Speak that Marxists bombard you with, and use of absurd theories and concepts based on a set of assumptions that reinforce themselves in a such a manner as to form a concept that defines itself as truth outside of the need of independent verification, this offers a devastating counterpoint that simply cannot be evaded. One would hope that the leaders of these institutions would realize they cannot be fulfilling this oath and embracing these concepts at the same time. However, because this is also occurring simultaneously at every public and nearly every private institution of higher learning and in most businesses as well, its audience is any concerned citizen in the country. It’s a shame the book was only available in paperback, I am sure my copy will be dog-eared before long.

A must read. Very informative.

The book and the movement to save the United States from the internal Marxist revolution could not be more timely nor more articulately written. The author exhibits genuine courage by authoring such a profoundly vital expose of the internal effort actively underway to destroy the U.S. military through the emasculation of its readiness.

Colonel Lohmeier is bright, a sharp scholar of world history, displays true guts, and is an outstanding credit to his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.

All those who serve, or served, took that same oath, but, unfortunately, too few on active duty appear courageous enough to stand tall - - - and to comply with it.

Our most deadly and active "enemy" is within, and if not promptly curtailed, will surely succeed in its mission to destroy the nation we love - and for which so many of us risked our lives.

Colonel Lohmeier's call to action needs to be rapidly spread across the country - - - before it is too late.

This new book, "The Irresistible Revolution," well serves as a bold starting point for spreading that salvation message.

At first, I was hesitant to buy or read the book for various reasons.

I found the book to be accurate on expressing his visible concerns and views of the changes in society. He provides the facts in his references within each chapter to substantiate his position.

It is a book expressing what is forgotten or neglected by many including myself of our past History. We live in a fast paced society of today. Connecting the dots to recent events are difficult without background knowledge. I followed up on many of his references and found them creditable and factual.

I would recommend it to anyone to read who was hesitant like myself.

A must read for anyone aware of the ongoing cultural war and disinformation campaign orchestrated by the Marxist ideology of the radical far-left and their global influencers. Ignore the 1 Star ratings for obvious reasons, they have not read the book. Matthew Lohmeier explains the cultural divisiveness heralded by sections of society whose anarchic attempts are to eradicate historical facts and accuracies for their aim of the destruction of western civil society and the foundations of equality for all.

Reading this book will enlighten you to the conditional programming that some education systems, media propoganda and political groups are mass projecting and indoctrinating the youth and lesser educated in society, through dilution, manipulation or blatant lies and how damaging this will be to future generations.

In his opening chapter, I quote...
"The Ministry of Truth, deliberately representative of Stalin’s Communist propaganda mill, employed a simple and effective strategy: “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.” It was this kind of manipulative control in the former Soviet Union that led to the dissident joke: “In the Soviet Union the future is known; it’s the past that is always changing.” Thus, all that is needed to assert control is an unending series of victories over people’s memory."
