This book is a total standalone, and focuses on Dax & Stacy who we were introduced to in earlier books. (Reading the previous books will enrich the world they live in, but is not necessary to enjoy Irrevocably Mine. )
I loved that Dax is an alpha male, but that he still shows his shy/sweet side (especially when it comes to sharing his art/skills) & how he blushes. I'm always curious about my heritage, so I also love his obsession with his heritage & genealogy.
Stacy is so strong, but doesn't realize how strong until her life depends on it. I love her multiple "voices" - slutty, bitchy, mom jeans, but especially her "OMG...puppies" Stacy.
For a year Dax has had two goals, first he wants nothing more than to find his daughter & bring her home to him, and secondly he wants to have Stacy completely his & by his side. Read & find out how Dax & Stacy find their way to each other.
Each story has been better than the previous! And because of that I CANNOT wait for book 4!! I'm loving Gus & John together!
Dax is the absolute ideal book boyfriend - big, handsome, protective, devoted, tough on the outside but sweet and gooey on the inside, especially for Stacy. His work with the tables was just breathtaking! So beautifully representative, showing how they each are perfect by themselves but their beauty is dramatically enhanced when you put them together. Dax demonstrates the perfect balance of alpha man and lovestruck suitor, showing Stacy that while she always can be in control, she doesn't always have to want to be in charge. Loving someone doesn't mean you're weak; it proves you are strong.
Stacy has one of the most well-developed identities I've seen in a book heroine. And heroine she is, not just because she's the female focus of this book, but because her mission in life is truly heroic. She's got her inner snark set to stun, and it's absolutely hilarious at times to listen to her reason with herself about what she's going through. Riding along with her as she confronts the troubles ahead is quite a ride, one you don't want to miss!
Together, Dax and Stacy have an epic love story that will make a die-hard romantic out of even the most jaded cynic. One-click this book (and series, while you're at it) because reading it will make you a better person just for having gone through the experience. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
