About Isabel Garcia Cintas
Isabel García Cintas, AWA, es una escritora y periodista Argentina. Hizo sus estudios de periodismo y fotografía en Buenos Aires y vivió durante tres años en Melbourne, Australia. A su regreso se radicó en San Carlos de Bariloche, donde trabajó en la prensa radial y escrita. Vive con su familia a los Estados Unidos en 1987 y en Florida desde 2001. Como periodista independiente contribuye con la revista digital Letra Urbana.
Isabel comenzó a escribir ficción en 2003. Tiene publicadas dos novelas, Incidente en la Patagonia (2011 Español), Incident in Patagonia (2016, Inglés) es una historia de suspenso que trata el tema de los desaparecidos durante el proceso militar. El manuscrito en inglés ganó Honorary Mention en el concurso Latino Books Into Movies 2015 de Los Angeles, California. Del Mediterráneo al Plata (2012), es una novela basada en las memorias de sus abuelos inmigrantes a la Argentina desde Italia y España y resultó finalista en el 2012 Dan Poynter's Global e-Book Awards.
Su último libro, La casa vieja y otros relatos, es un volumen de cuentos publicado en febrero de 2016. En febrero recibió Medalla de Oro, Categoria Spanish, en el 2017 Florida Book Awards que otorga Florida State University. También ha recibido Honorable Mention en el rubro Best Popular Fiction en el 2016 International Latino Book Awards en Los Àngeles, California. La autora también fue invitada a presentar este libro en la 33ra. Feria Internacional del Libro de Miami.
Sus cuentos figuran en tres antologías: Poetas y Narradores del 2012, editada por el Instituto de Cultura Peruana de Miami, Los Mundos Posibles, antología de obras premiadas por la Latin American Intercultural Alliance de New York del mismo año, y dos de sus micro relatos figuran en la Primera Antología Cáncer de Mama, organizada en 2015 por la editorial Talento Comunicación de España.

Isabel Garcia Cintas is an independent writer and journalist born in Argentina. She studied journalism and photography in Buenos Aires and lived for three years in Melbourne, Australia. On her return, she settled in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, where she worked in radio and print media. Isabel lives with her family in the United States since 1987 and in Florida since 2001. Currently. she is a staff member of the digital magazine Letra Urbana.com.
Isabel started writing literary fiction in 2003. She has published two novels: Incidente en la Patagonia (Spanish, 2011), Incident in Patagonia, (English, 2016) is a thriller that addresses the issue of those who disappeared during the military government in Argentina. The English manuscript won Honorable Mention at the 2015 Latino Books Into Movies Awards in Los Angeles, California. Del Mediterraneo al Plata (2012), is a novel based on the memoirs of his immigrant grandparents from Italy and Spain to Argentina, and was a finalist at the 2012 Dan Poynter's Global e-Books Awards.
Her latest book is a volume of short stories, La Casa Vieja y Otros Relatos, published in February 2016. Last February his book won Gold Medal, Spanish Category, at the 2016 Florida Book Awards, from Florida State University, and Honorable Mention, Popular Fiction, at the 2016 International Latino Book Awards in Los Angeles, CA. The author also was invited to present this book at the 33rd Miami International Book Fair, on November 19, 2016.
Her short stories are included in three anthologies: Poetas y Narradores, 2012, published by the Institute of Peruvian Culture in Miami; Los Mundos Posibles, an anthology of works finalists at the 2012 Latin American Intercultural Alliance of New York, and two micro stories are part of the First Anthology of Breast Cancer, organized in 2015 by Talent Communication of Spain.
