From the Author
Though I live in the present moment I am continually dealing with the past and the future...either as an inheritance or as a projected hope or fear. So, in a good story we have to deal with that reality...that we are affected on a deep level by the past. For decisions once ratified in time cannot be erased...they must be accepted as reality and dealt with accordingly. As long as our hearts beat, we can change our minds, but we must still deal with the accumulated reality we and others have created for humanity.
In the story of Ishtar's Redemption, Ishtar must deal with his past and live beyond the morass of chaos that his father had left for him, both in the heart of his clan and in his own soul. Yet, Ishtar is not abandoned to despair and death. He is allowed another chance and he moves on. In stories it seems we often have THE DEFINING MOMENT and that's it, but in reality....we have lots of defining moments. Perhaps every day. We just don't see them for what they are.
I hope you enjoy the journey-story of Ishtar's Redemption - Trial by Fire. And in your own journey story - may you never walk alone, but with enduring love - go with God.
