I gave myself a chance to listen to the entire album multiple times before writing a review. The first listen I liked all the songs but songs like Same Damn Life, Crash & Watch Me Drown threw me off at first being an unexpected sound. But after multiple listens I can honestly say I love all the songs on this album and I'm glad the songs are diverse from each other. I don't want every song to sound the same otherwise the entire album plays as one long song. I know this is a great album when a lot of the song choruses get stuck in my head out of nowhere.

In an interview Shaun had said that he's not a pissed off 20 year old kid anymore and the music shows that maturity. He has always been a brilliant lyricist and I love this album.

My top favorite songs: Save Today, Nobody Praying For Me, Words as Weapons, My Disaster

SEETHER have been doing very well since their last release HOLDING ONTO STRINGS BETTER LEFT TO FRAY, which I remember stating was my favorite album of that year. ISOLATE AND MEDICATE, the band's latest release, proves that the band is still lyrically and musically strong. In fact, these might be Shaun Morgan's most creative lyrics to date. Especially on tracks such as MY DISASTER, NOBODY PRAYING FOR ME, KEEP THE DOGS AT BAY, and even the pre-released songs WORDS AS WEAPONS and SUFFER IT ALL, which don't really strike me as anything amazing but are still good songs nonetheless. Morgan also improves his vocal presence even more than he did on the last record, from the vocal limits pushed on SAME DAMN LIFE, to the heartfelt performance he gives on SAVE TODAY. Overall, I'd put this up with SEETHER's previous albums HOLDING ONTO STRINGS and KARMA AND EFFECT as one of their best, and a future classic.

Sweet baby Jesus. I have been a dedicated fan of Seether since I found them around '04. I have to admit, I was getting worried that they might start becoming more "pop" with the last album... but for real, this is everything I could have wanted from a Seether album. I can't stop listening to it. Nice to see them take a turn back in the right direction towards their roots. This is a must have. <3 BUY IT. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. Promise (:

I LOVE SEETHER, so there is nothing more I can say other then this album exceeded my expectations. I have been a fan since 2002 prior to that Seether was called "Saron Gas" I have all their CDS and some live recordings from shows I have attended and couldn't say a bad thing about them. Seeing them live is even better. I really dig the album titles and the darker side of life that is explored and revealed in their music. Brilliant and as always worth the wait.

This one might rank with Finding Beauty as my favorite Seether album. Their sound continues to evolve, but they still have the same hard hitting riffs and catchy lyrics as they have always had. I certainly hope this isn’t their last.

Seether isn't phoning it in, but they do make it sound easy. Isolate and Medicate is a return to Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces in that it sounds like Karma and Effect meets, the more cerebral, Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray. And, it couldn’t have come at a better time, when hard rock veterans are sounding more pop than ever. Johnny has been my favorite drummer since Karma and Effect.

Shaun and the band have been on a roll for about 6 years now and this one does not alter their progress. If anything I find that Shaun Morgan, lyrically, is one of the best. He captures despair, deceit, anger, angst, loss, hopelessness, depression and smart ass all in one! He is in tune with his inner self and the music shows. Melodic, edgy, somewhat pop oriented, grungy (at times) and high energy yet everything flows! If they never make another cd at least we have Disclaimer, Disclaimer II, Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces and Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray along with this release. Karma Effect, IMHO, was the least flowing and lacked from direction. Looking forward to the next release......hopefully!

Not as impressed with this CD as the past several, but still high-quality rock. Loved "Words as Weapons" and "Same Damn Life." Definitely one of the best albums, but not as good as Disclaimer (I/II) & Karma and Effect.
