Relationships can be hard...especially when you can't let go of the past
This book was one hell of a ride. Laurel had a lot of problems, bitterness, and more to handle but she found her way back when she hit bottom.
I really don't know what to say about this book. It was such a rollercoaster. I had to stop on more than one occasion because things just got to me so much. I'm so happy I stuck with it. As much as it tore at my heart, I had to see where everything went. (yes, I know is a lesbian romance and they're going to wind up together, but seeing how they get there is the whole point and Ms. Marra didn't disappoint)
If you really want to read this book, you better buckle up. It's going to be a VERY bumpy ride.
Back and forth with Sam. Back and forth with Lily. Destructive alcohol and drug use and sexual flings, ad infinitum. A little of that goes a long way. And what's with Laurel's mother (among other people) waltzing into the bedroom while Laurel is in bed with someone, and acting like nothing unusual is going on? And the mother was kind of a horrible person, taking Sam's side over Laurel's - every single time.

I recommend this book to anyone that has loved another with total abandon. There’s never a dull moment in the story and the characters are realistic and entertaining.
