Lucetta Zaytoun’s ability to bounce back from tragedy time and time again is uncanny. After raising six kids, yet another life earthquake hit. This one led her to put everything she owned in storage, sell her car, shut down her phone and travel in developing countries by herself for one year. Lucetta’s precarious, intrepid and fascinating runaway journey took her to places she never imagined. Without intending to, at age 51, she jumped off the world’s highest bungee bridge, was French-kissed by a giraffe, fell in love with Africa, was abducted, ate a tarantula in Cambodia, and ultimately found herself. While on her courageous journey, every bit of Lucetta’s past showed up to haunt and heal her, helping her make peace with her life and reclaim her authentic identity.

Must Read of the Year. If you're going through ANYTHING, this book is for you.
5 Full- hearted stars for It's Already Tomorrow Here by Lucetta Zaytoun.Full disclosure, I finished this book more than a week ago. I've been struggling to find words that would convey how valuable and moving this book is. I still haven't found them. So, I'm just going to let what comes, spill out. And, I'll hope it comes close to being enough since it will be untidy, from the heart, and as high-level as I can be about it.It's Already Tomorrow Here shows the power of the written word and the profound impact that sharing paths, stories, triumph, and devastation can have. It paints the way I believe that true healing happens. Healing happens with people and healing happens alone. The books shows how people dance in and out of our lives, when there is music and when there are tears. All different kinds of people. People we welcome in, and those strangers that somehow show up just at the right times. All contributing somehow to our journey, our path, and our healing.Reading It's Already Tomorrow Here is like a warm blanket and a big bowl of chicken noodle soup. It's both pulled curtains, and an open door with a breeze. It's hiding, and it's celebration. It's broken, and it's patched up and stronger in the parts previously torn by life's disappointments. But mostly, it's honest. And, a true representation of how it feels to have (and need) both roots and wings. Of feeling planted and free. It's about getting to the bottom of who you are, when you look up and see that for so long, what you thought was so real, so concrete, so lasting, vanishes. Walks away. Finds someone else. And you're left in the aftermath of all the feelings and fears. The quiet. The lonely. If you know of anyone going through anything... this book is for them. And, for you. Although I don't think the point of the writing was to be for you. It was just to let it all out. And, that is exactly what Lucetta does in the book. She puts it out there, raw. Unashamedly. Stripped down and looking upwards for hope, for light while standing in the middle of the dark. If you haven't been there. You will. And, I hope you'll remember this book. Because, healing happens alone. And with others. This book lifted me in ways I really needed. And, the timing of it could not have been more personal or relevant for me. Maybe it's like that for everyone who reads it. I don't know. This book is eye contact. It is intimate in the way that you'll feel seen and be able to fully see someone else. And, what a better world this would be if we all took a little bit of time, and appreciated the dancing in and out of the people in our lives and really understood that we are all just welcoming each other home. One journey, one heartache, one tear, one belly laugh, one beer, and on all-in watergun fight at a time.#mustread #bookofmyyear #almosttomorrowhere #laughed #cried #rootsandwings #beautifulbook #welcomehome #onward #forward #heal #lovecompletely #lovewins #lovedoes

I had the privilege of knowing Lucetta for only a few days before learning all about her travels abroad. I could see the glow and light within her as she spoke, so I simply knew I needed to read about this beautiful time in her life. I finished this book in three days. From the beginning, Lucetta was open about nearly every painful thing in her life, yet she always found some way to spin tragedy in a positive light. Her relationship with the Lord was evident to me in her testimonies throughout this book. I was left giggling, tearing up, and so very encouraged by this incredible woman. I have passed this book on to the other women in my life who I know will love it as much as I have. Lucetta, thank you for sharing the vulnerability of your heart.

Miss Zaytoun boldly lays down her bare emotions and, in so doing, draws the reader right into her very heart and soul. You will find yourself crying with her, laughing with her, and cheering her on as she courageously and gracefully faces life's challenges and her fears head on. This isn't a work of fiction, it is a memoir, and the value you will take away from it is immeasurable. Her message is one of hope. Are you seeking joy and happiness in your life? This book will inspire you. Looking for hope? This book will encourage you. Looking for motivation? This book will empower you. Is it possible to pick oneself up and move forward after life altering tragedies? Yes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was deeply touched by it. I know you will be too.

You must purchase this book. . .I laughed, cried, and reread particular parts I could relate to in my own life journey over and over. As you soak up each part of this amazing adventure, you observe a once in a lifetime journey of a very courageous woman who is running back to herself . . I basically finished the entire book in ONE day. I had the privilege of working for Lucetta in the 90's as her Nanny while in college. You will not be able to put this book down. One of my favorite excerpts from It's Already Tomorrow Here: "As humans, we can also give each other hope, a tiny breather where the spirits are lifted just enough to on to the next moment, and then the next moment provides its own portion of hope. I seem to be living hope to hope."
