I SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE. Well I was so wrong.I AM A OFFICIALLY HERE TO SAY I LOVE RICK MARIN. If you have read The Do Over you'll know what I'm talking about. In The Do Over we are introduced to Rick Marin. let me tell you I HATED him with a passion. I believe my first thought was I would love to castrate this guy .I was a card holding member of the CASTRATE RICK MARIN FAN CLUB. I had never met a more arrogant self centers jerks in all my life. Then there's Madison Stuart and in The Do Over your not to fond of her either. She manipulative and makes bad choices. Her loyalties are with her friend she just hurts people along the way. Ok now that you remember who they are and that we don't like them let me tell you about It's Not Over.
I stand here a reformed Rick hater. He's still Rick in every way. He now just has his sights on something to accomplish. Something to put his passion an desire towards other than himself. He's fiercely protective. He's driven to win. He has passion in his heart and desire in his soul. It's all focused on Madison Stuart and he's determined to win at all cost. She challenges him. She makes him a better man. She makes him want more. I am also a true fan of Madison's hearing her story and her past broke my heart. I completely understand why she's Madison "F'ing" Stuart and is always on the defensive. She's always in take no prisoners mode. She's a Grade A you know what. Well except when she with Rick. He's broken through those walls and it scares her. She had goals, dreams and aspirations. Rick has blown that all out of the water. She's wants him. She wants to love him. She wants to be whole.

Don't worry in true A.L. Zaun fashion she gives us some other villains to focus our hate on.

Rick the D*ck - that's what I named him in AL's first book The Do Over - I loved to hate him. I never found myself rooting for him and Dani (which I always the couple to reunite) - I knew Liam was her guy. Why, because of Maddie - What am awesome chick - total spitfire, take no prisoners, hot to trot - I want her to be my BFF! Loved her - Loved her and Rick even more. So now we move onto their story - their relationship, where the whole frenemy/friend/lover line got somewhat blurred - the more times they hung out the more they realized how much they had in common and how well they clicked. OH and how HOTTTT they were for each other & their obvious love for one another. Maddie hops on a plane and heads back to NY to escape Rick & tend to some business - once Rick realized Dani wasn't for him & went after his girl - only to find she's gone. Of course my man (CAVEMAN) goes after her - and then their bumpy ride ensues. One of the best things about these two (besides to the UBER HOT ATTRACTION/SEX) is their banter - they give it and give it good - I am constantly laughing while taking score! These two will have cracking up one second and fanning yourself in the other. I can't wait to see where this story goes especially after the nice little TWIST you threw in there AL - well done was not expecting that!! But thank you for another great ride and am looking forward to more from my SEXY MACHO!!!

I had the pleasure of beta reading this book and I was absolutely blown away by the story. I hadn't read the first book, The Do Over, so this was the first time I met Rick and Maddy. The chemistry and constant back and forth between the two characters had me laughing and actually reminded me of my husband and me.
It's Not Over is beautiful, amazing, captivating, and shocking, I was so engulfed in the story I couldn't read it fast enough. Something happens and it quickly makes up Maddy's mind to leave without notice, driving Rick to do spontaneous things, one being to chase after her. This is something new for both of them and the outcome of all of it is a breathtaking story.
Although, I would love to tell the entire story, I won't. I hate reading spoilers. I can only say that this is one manuscript that sticks out from all the others and it was refreshing to read. Zaun really has a talent in capturing the reader and pulling them into the story, which I LOVE. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to read!

First impression:
I was anxious to see how Rick and Madison's story would develop. I also like the cover. Sexy.

The story:
Rick and Madison met during a time where Rick thought he wanted his ex back. Madison helped "coach" Rick on the art of convincing his ex that he was a changed man. What happened though, was that Rick and Madison started to have trouble defining them lines between friendship and their attraction for each other. What Rick realizes is that Madison is really the one he wants to be with and he's willing to go the distance, literally, to win her over.

This book is about the journey they take towards developing a relationship. I did feel like the book was mostly geared towards Madison, who I liked in the first book, but I was hoping do have more focus on Rick.

The characters:
As I said above, I was expecting this book to favor Rick, but it was more about his quest to win her over and for her to let go of her past and trust Rick. And I really did like Madison in the first book. I liked thats he had Rick figured out and wouldn't stand for his games. But, in this book I struggled to warm to her. I think it's because I felt like she was pushing too hard to keep him at a distance. Her bitchiness grated on my nerves a bit too much.

When I first met Rick, I felt like he was the kind of guy you love to hate. I feel like I saw glimpses of that guy in this book, but in some ways I felt like he was a totally different cahracter. Not the guy that I had fallen for. He became sappy and I hate to say, a bit cheesy. I was looking forward to his cocky, sexy ways, and like I said...I saw some of that, but I was left feeling a bit detached.

I have to mention Chris.
