I absolutely loved Ian and Lillian’s story. They first meet in the ER where Ian’s daughter is brought after being in a bus accident. Megan will be fine. Lil can’t believe her attraction to Ian, even if he is older than her, but she’s been manless, since her split with her fellow coworker, Dr. Nick Carlson. The next time she sees Ian, she hears a noise and finds him letting out his emotions in the employee parking garage. Don’t you just love a man not afraid to show his emotions? Things get steamy quick, but this story isn’t without some angst, in which you’ll have your emotions on a roller coaster ride. Do yourself a favor and grab this quick read by one of favorite authors. I can’t wait to see what she has for us next.

This book 📚 of finding love and learning to let someone love you back, is another page turner. I absolutely love Liz Crowe's books and would recommend to everyone that loves romance and real life scenarios!

I love a woman who thinks she can be an island who's blindsided by her one and only. This story is exactly that. Ian so quickly becomes the very breath for independent, accomplished island, Lillian. She has a lot of growing and accepting to do and it takes a bit too long but, of course, it all works out in the end. It was tear jerking to travel through some serious lows with them and better tears when they get their HEA. Sexy, as typical with Crowe, too.

Lillian rules the ER with an impartial hand. She keeps her cool always, until Ian walks in. Surprised by her feelings she can't decide if she wants to run away or jump on him. He invites her to dinner and soon finds out that she is quite an introvert. As feelings grow and they spend time together she relaxes around him and falls hard. Then problems start to arise. Can she go against her normal reaction and give things a try? Will Ian have the patience and trust to wait for her? Steamy moments and laugh out loud comments along with a surprise or two made for a fast paced read with characters you can't help but root for. Good book!
