I am a Gossip Girl fanatic. I faithfully watched every episode and loved every moment of it (well almost every moment.)I admit the show had lost its spark somewhere in the midst of Season 4 when for some reason the writers decided to take away college and career prospects for these VERY young, wealthy and ambitious people and turn them into a cycle of never ending backstabbing & bed hopping cycle without any real purpose or character development. It became impossible to root for anyone or any couple at that point.

With that said, Season 6 had its questionable and downright hilarious moments such as never ending Chuck Bass family drama and Serena & Dan attempts to salvage the disaster that was their friendship and romantic relationship. But of course, it had its winning moments such as anything involving its main stars Chuck and Blair, zingers by Georgina and return of the one and only Uncle Jack.

Season 6 is laughable in parts, but its conclusion and five year flash forward was for lack of the better word, satisfying. I was genuinely happy to see a TV show conclude with lose ends tied up and conflict resolved because Gossip Girl was never meant to teach life lessons, provide moral scale or attempt to actually relate to average people. Everything about Gossip Girl always functioned on hyper reality for entertainment and fashion envy purpose.

The ending could have been much worse when you look at the last few seasons that descended into pure disaster. Season 6 somewhat cleaned up the mess and it concluded this crazy show I was obsessed with for years. My Monday nights will not be the same anymore.

This show ended right before it jumped the shark, IMO. When all the characters were in high school, all the scheming and conniving seemed very slick and somehow mature. It fit in with the characters. It even worked when they were all in their first years of college, but then it just got old. I'm all for the willing suspension of disbelief, but I find it hard to believe that out of a group of 5 super privileged children, not a one of them finished college, but they all managed to get amazing jobs. Heck I found it a little hard to believe that any of them got into college, since they appeared to spend about 10 minutes a day in school. The show had lost its mojo and found it again a little with the Blair and the Prince storyline, but then lost it pretty quick.

However, the series finale was worth it. And what a shocker the identity of gossip girl was.....I have to say it was something I never in a million years saw coming. That alone was worth the $1.99 to watch the series finale. Too many series finales leave everything open (Sopranos), or make it completely confusing (Lost) and that just feels wrong, the Gossip Girl series finale did a great job of wrapping it all up with a nice little bow and I loved it. And they did something else I love, which was to sort of do an epilouge type thing where you get to catch up with the characters five years late. I haven't seen that done often, but I do love it, especially in a show like this one.

Goodbye Gossip Girl....you know I love you XOXO ;)

I'm almost 50 years old and still enjoyed this series. My 15 year old daughter asked why I was watching a teen show, but this was really a fun and entertaining show to watch when I needed to just relax after a 12 hour work day.

When my son said, "Mom, I have a new TV series for you to start - 'Gossip Girl'.." I adamantly refused!! The name totally turned me off! Too teeny bopper-ish, I said..lol... I have NEVER been more wrong! The first season had me totally,100%, enthralled! After the 5th episode, I was ADDICTED... No joke...
It had something for EVERYONE - male and female, young and old, alike.. With so many lead characters, one is BOUND to remind you of yourself. And, I guarantee you will relate to MOST plot lines!!
Six seasons..... I finished them in just 3-4 months.. Don't let this one pass you by!!!!!!!!!

I'm the kind of girl that never cared to watch shows like this. But during one lonesome night, I decided to watch it and got hooked. I have the first 5 seasons free on Netflix, so you can imagine the horrific painful thought of not being to watch the last one. Thankfully -although it's much shorter than the rest - I was able to find it here on Amazon. It is the best season of all. So worthy of my time. I don't have to feel lonely to watch it because I LOVE it!

I had no problem with the product itself. It had the gag reel (my favorite) and the retrospective that was aired before the airing of the final episode.

The actual season, being only 10 episodes, was priced as though it was a full season of 22 episodes. It was extremely overpriced. I urge others to wait a year until the price drops. I will bet it goes down to about $8-$10.

The actual episodes..........eh. I found myself a bit disappointed with this season, I feel like they could have done so much more. And the last episode, I found so confusing. The whole scene with Dan and Serena are talking, since he didn't actually say that he was Gossip Girl, it made it so confusing. I didn't understand that the writers of the show were actually trying to say that Dan was GG until all of the characters were in the living room. I loved that Blair and Chuck got married and lived happily ever after, but I wish we would have gotten to see more of their happily ever after. To see Serena and Dan get married.......it just feels fake, I feel like she's gong to be divorced in a few years. I just found myself disappointed.
