About the Author
It's Really 10 Months bloggers and authors have pulled together a collection of hilarious stories about pregnancy, childbirth, motherhood (and fatherhood), and more.
Natalie Guenther, Kim Schenkelberg, and Celeste Snodgrass bring you this collection on, what else, Labor Day, 2015.
Natalie, her sweet husband, and their three impressively loud boys spend most of their time at one sporting event or another. She works in the medical field as a social worker. In her spare time she enjoys sitting in silence, eating dinner with other adults and sleeping for more than 5 hours at a time.
Kim lost her marbles and married a man who is the youngest of ten. She became a stepmom to his boys who are growing up way too fast. They added two girls and a boy to their clan. She works as an adoption search and reunion specialist by day, a mental health therapist by night and a writer/publisher during her non-existent free time. She laments daily that she is not a trust-fund baby.
Celeste, her hilarious husband, two quickly growing kids and two dogs are new transplants to Sioux Falls, SD. She works for an international child welfare and adoption agency. She daydreams of having enough free time to make all the delicious recipes and fun DIY projects she has on her Pinterest boards. The 30 contributors are bloggers, authors, writers and sometimes even just parents with a story to tell.

It’s Really 10 Months; A collection of stories from girth to birth, is an accurate depiction of many of the things that can, and sometimes will go awry during pregnancy and birth. The things that all the know it all well-wishers forget to tell you about.
These stories, from moms and dads, are from some of the best from the bloggers I want to be like when I grow up. From chemical pregnancies, to Clomid induced plate throwing tantrums (been there), this book has all the nitty-gritty, including an endless list of euphemisms for amniotic fluid. “Sack sauce,” that one killed.
Natalie Geunther, Kim Schenkelberg, and Celeste Snodgrass write,
We had each other as a supportive tribe of friends and now we deliver that feeling of belonging to a tribe to you through these stories.
In the age of Google and Web MD, this book will serve moms-to-be far better than any search engine ever could.
When you read this book you'll find yourself relating to each word written - even though their tales of labor and delivery were nothing like yours, because really, no two experiences are the same; you'll come away with a fuller heart just knowing even though we're all different - our concerns, fears, worries, etc. are all the same.
Cover to Cover this book should be on every must read list there is.
All in all a great read that will probably be re read during my next pregnancy! Thank you ladies!!!
