It's So Nice to Be Nice
The flamboyant Louis H. Narcisse traveled from New Orleans to San Francisco, where he founded the Mount Zion Spiritual Temple and installed himself as King complete with princesses, bishops and courtiers! And he had a voice to match his outsized persona, heard here on Move up a Little Higher; Look at the Hills; Give Me Wings, Lord , and 19 more.

Narcisse's questionable beliefs and flawed character aside, he was an inimitable talent. This CD showcases him at his best: live in front of a congregation. There are a few mediocre studio recordings scattered throughout the album, but most tracks are the "raw and real" recordings Traditional Gospel Lovers/Collectors live for.
My review title is no exaggeration. If you don't have the money to buy this album: borrow it and pay it back later. You'll thank me later.
Absolutely love it!
