Camp. Five star camp. I swear you can almost smell the fire burning when you play this CD. No one under thirty-eight will understand the attraction of a CD like this, but if you are one among the generation which, when asked whether you know the preamble to the Constitution begins to sing ("We-eee th' pe-eeeo-pole...."); if you were ever Free to be You and Me, you'll love this. When you were five or six, "We Can Make the World a Whole Lot Brighter," and "It's a Sunshine Day," might have sounded like good songs; better than what you sang in music class, anyway. Ever watch that Silver Platter episode for the second or third time, and try to remember the song, but it just eluded you? It's all here. Not to mention here are also the most out of tune "American Pie" since you and your friends sang it to your Close'n Play, and something actually written by Barry Williams, if I understand the credits correctly. This is no Dream Street. You can actually distinguish each of the kids' voices, for better or for worse. It might've been slightly amusing when bell bottoms came back, but tell the jr. high schoolers they ain't heard nothing yet. This CD may put and end to Retro once and for all.
Who hasn't watched the brady bunch and sang along with the songs. I grew up watching the show and now have it on dvd, thats why i got rid of cable. Why pay so much money when you can watch your favorite shows & movies anytime you like. Only one bad point for this cd is that the song on the episode of Johnny Bravo 'good time music' is not on, and thats a shame but for the price and to sing along while your working as i do, it works. It may not be for everbody, but i like it. Thanks Wally......
Gave to my fiancée as a fun stocking gift. We played it in the car on the way to visit family for Christmas and we played a trivia game trying to match the song to which show. LOVE the BB! It was one of my favorite shows growing up....wholesome. My 6 year old likes the show (CBS app) and sang along to the music.
The "Brady Bunch" have always been one of my favourite shows. I never knew that they even made albums like the "Partridge Family" did. This CD features all of the songs that were played on some of their musically themed episodes. Songs like "Time To Change" which was from the episode when Peter's voice started changing, and "Keep On" from the show where they get on the televised talent show. There are some other songs from Maureen McCormick & Christopher Knight, and Florence Henderson even gets in on the action with a solo performance. Although, "The Brady Bunch" had so many incarnations after it went off the air, this compilation is a great blast from the past, and sounds great too!
